991.1 stalls at idle after being driven
This has happened twice so far in my two month ownership. Both times it had been driven for several short trips on very nice days (70 degrees, sunny) without issue but car was definitely hot from having been driven - never done this when cold. Came back out from restaurant and started normally but then it died when at a stop light. It continues to die at every light until I get home or unless I rev it. Dash lights up and it struggles to restart. Runs normally when in gear, no performance issues. Anyone else had this happen? I searched these forums but haven’t seen anyone with what appears to be the same issue.

The good news is your car's true identity is a 964 with a lightweight flywheel, and it should therefore be immune to depreciation.
If you prefer a normal 991.1 depreciation curve, I recommend capturing video of the behavior and checking it into your local dealership.

I hate to ask the simple but potentially offending question... but do you have auto start/stop turned on? That would cause it to turn off at lights when warm. The struggle to restart could just be a low battery??? Sorry, but you didn't mention it and thought I should ask the easy question.

Crank position sensor
Weak battery
Those would be my first stops.

I had that happen and it finally died and would not start on the highway during rush hour traffic. After some time Porsche fixed it and I've had zero issues since. I would have to look at the service record but I think it was the crank position sensor. Mine was also a 13.
Good luck. I know it's frustrating but they can fix it.

991 turbo s stalling at idle
So what is the final solution to this problem? I have a 2014 911 turbo s and its been randomly shutting off at idle and all dash lights come on.
Afterwards I turn key off and start it up and it starts back up.
Thank you

Not really sure, honestly but *knock on wood* I haven't had issues in over a year. My local mechanic cleaned out the air intake, replaced filters, and cleaned around an air intake valve that he believed was getting stuck open. Based on the symptoms he determined that it had something to do with the car basically choking itself out because of misinformation from sensors, etc. Hopefully this can fix your issue too
