Beats me. Maybe they do and don't care.

Thanks, flickroll! And well done on bagging the Michelins!

Cheers,

Saw a guy with a 991.1 Carrera at a meet recently. He had PCCBs. I asked him if he'd had issues with stones getting caught etc. He said not. I had a good look and there was decent clearance between his calipers and the wheel barrel.

Front discs/rotors are now 410mm on PCCBs for the 991.2. Pretty sure they weren't that big previously.
That is true. The 991.2 PCCB front rotors are 410mm in diameter. The 991.1's are 360-370 which yields a lot more clearance.

Rich
Turbo S barrel ID is the same as the centerlock wheels on the 991.2 GTS which is right at 19". I mentioned to Steve at Foregline that 19" didn't sound too exact. He said it is an accurate number, within just a few mils.

Don't know about the Carrera S wheels.

Thanks again Simon. I think many cars in the October-November build date timeframe came with Michelins. Mine is 10/17.

991.1 GT3 / GT4: the PCCB front rotors are 410 and the rears are 390. AFAIK I don't think they changed those of the 991.2, all Gen 3.

Correct.

Ive had zero issues with my GT4 in over 8k Miles of street and track use. I do run HRE P101 and swapped them out within a day or two of delivery.

Just found the weights, but I can't find the weights of the OEM wheels though. They are out at my storage unit. I suppose I could take a scale out there and weigh them, unless someone knows the stock weights.

The Forgeline fronts are 21.05#, and the rears are 22.85#, weighed on the scale at the UPS depot.

The HRE P101 has very similar clearance as the Forgeline. So sounds like you took care of the problem before you had one

I love these wheels. Clean, sporty, and classic. Nice choice!

We need shots of the front and rear to show us your completed ALP install.

I have scratches on both front wheels (and, presumably, both front calipers). They don't really bug me all that much, but of course I wish they weren't there.

The only way they would bother me is if the wheel's integrity was compromised. I've seen the same scratches on a GT3 RS, so it's a matter of 918-sized brakes in 20-inch factory wheels. I would be very interested in deflectors that might help here (a friend was saying he did something like this for one of his rally cars, and that they worked), or a list of aftermarket wheels that avoid the problem. Though I typically prefer factory wheels, Flickroll's wheels look great on his car. I prefer them to the stockers all day long.

Those wheels do look awesome on Flickroll's car!

I will be able to tell you from personal experience about the PCCBs and stock wheels in less than two hours!
