Need new tires for 991.1 C4S
Looks like my 2014 991.1 C4S will need new tires soon. What would you suggest for a year round warm climate that would also be safe in the rain and provide good feel and comfort? I may take the car on the track at some point in the future, but probably not for a few years and it's not a priority as much as daily driving fun.

I prefer Michelins myself, my tire of choice as they tend to be slightly more comfortable and slightly less noisy than Pirellis. YMMV

I am big fan of Michelin tires. Always comfortable, good in the rain and less noisy (to my ears). Loved the MPSS I had on my Boxster.

I expect you'll find that the majority of recommendations for all-purpose warm climate driving will be the Michelin Pilot 4S, assuming that the availability problems have been solved since they came out early last year. I had them on my prior C4S for close to a year and found everything about them clearly superior in every regard to the P-Zeros that came on the car.

If you just need new rear Pirellis, buy these:

Same Rennlister is also selling a complete set (4) of MPSS, but the rear tires are 295 and you need 305. Too bad.

LexVan - I'm surprised at you - that one tire has a plug in it! Any time you plug a tire, the speed rating is gone on it - it's considered a compromised tire. Someone could GIVE me a plugged tire like that and I wouldn't spend the time or money to mount it on a car such as a Porsche, it's almost embarrassing to see someone actually trying to sell one.
I bet you missed reading it had a plug in it...lol

Another big fan of the Michelin’s. Was very happy that Porsche could swap the Pirellis my car was delivered with for the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S with N0 rating. I have been driving the car for a week now and they are great, comfort and handeling wise. Have not tried them in the rain but testing results are great also, under every circumstances.

I personally would not buy used tires off the internet. If you know someone who has tires they want to get rid off, that may be a cheaper option than buying new ones.

I put Kumho Ecsta PS91's on my car. Fantastic tire and half the price of the Michelins and Pirellis. You're never going to come close to a 991's performance envelope in street driving so what tires you buy isn't really that important, so long as they are good enough. The Kumho's have been super grippy and quiet. Highly recommended.

Include me in this. I've used MPSS on a couple of different cars and they are better in every aspect over Pirelli P Zero's. I'll be replacing the P Zero's on my car with the 4S when it's time.

I just purchased a set of Michelin tires MPS4S from Tire Rack which have a two year road hazard protection coverage including $70 promotion from the manufacture. Tire Rack will also ship the tires to your installer. My tires shipped from Nevada with no sales tax. My tires will be installed next week, including tire sensors, road force balancing and alignment.

Michelin PS4S bandwagon. I always go to my favorite local tire guy and he beats their price if he can, if not, we ship tires to him and he handles everything. I liked them more than PZeros and did 5/6 track laps on them and found good grip and light wear. Make sure you monitor tire temps if you do track them.
