Buying a 2015 GTS Cabriolet need some advice
I am looking at 2015 991.1 GTS cabriolet with msrp $149k and all the options I want for the car full leather, 18 ways sport seats, agate grey metallic. Seller asking $109k, I think it’s a fair price but opinions are welcome.
Also, I am new to 991 model year, is there anything to look out for? Potential repair or specific item need to careful inspect? Any opinions or advice are greatly appreciate. TIA

Price sounds fair, but to really do apples to apples I’d get the build sheet, then go to the CPO search engine and filter a car with the exact same features and compare the asking prices. Add apx $3K to the comps if the car is not CPO. Figure maybe 4-6% off the asking for the CPO and do the math.
Depending on mileage I’d look into having it CPO’d or buying an extended warranty. Obviously a thourough PPI done by a dealer of your choice. I looked really hard at late model CPO cars and came to the conclusion, that while close, I was not getting exactly what I wanted and a warranty that was going to be good for a max of 2yrs on a $100K plus car.
Don’t know your car buying habits but a car of that price is a one off event for me, with the plan of it being a long term purchase. For a few more $$$ I get a bespoke and no “wish I’d gotten that angst” 911 with a longer warranty, and the ability to get extended protection for less than the CPO price premium which is essentially just buying and extended warranty any ways.

I bought one with a list of just under 140 in Jan. Main thing I would look at beside PPI is try and get service history and CPO as having a warranty till 2021 is a great thing. Main items depending on mileage are usual wear items tires/brakes etc.

Private party or retail?
Price seems high to me.
Figure at least 1a 5% loss in the first year of 2015, and then another 10% drop for each subsequent ('16, '17, and '18) year.

this is the car, I don’t think it has been CPO yet. Mileage is very low and some added PPF and ceramic coating. I am thinking about $100k offer but don’t want to be low baller. Any opinions???

Check the convertible top for wear along the top seams on both sides. These tops do not wear well (and Porsche won't replace under warranty. I've been fighting with mine for 2 yrs now)

My top is 4 years old and still looks brand new. Better than new in fact, since I RaggTopp my cabriolet every other year.
We've seen Rennlisters get their tips replaced under warranty when the unlikely rare events have occurred.

I'd be interested if you can point me to a Rennlister who had a 991.1 top replaced under warranty so I can find out how they accomplished that. I even met with the service manager at the factory last year in Stuttgart and he showed me 2 tops on employee cars with the exact same wear pattern I have.

9114SCV - I had my 991.1 GTS cab top replaced under warranty at Porsche South Bay in LA. No questions asked. The seam on the driver's side was splitting open. There is a thread on here that discusses this topic and in that thread, there are others who had their cab top replaced under warranty. I could track down my service report and pre-replacement pictures if that would help you prove to your dealership that the top is changed under warranty by other dealerships.
