30000 mile oil change
Recent buyer of 991 Carrera S and need 30000 mile oil change. Any recommendations of going to dealer or private shop? Located in Fort Lauderdale, Fl.

Talk to your local PCA chapter to find out where they recommend. An oil change is simple. No need to pay $500 at a dealership. I pay $125 an oil change including the reminder reset with all OEM parts. Best deal I have seen on the internet unless you do it yourself.

On a serious note.... The dealer is over $400 for an oil change and requires you to grab your ankles while you wait. Find an indy or DIY.... As a last resort, Walmart is the best deal on oil; and don't worry.... you don't actually have to go into one like a peasant as they deliver for free

I bet someone can suggest an indy shop near your location....... we are everywhere.
If you like to DIY .... oil changes are very straight forward.

I have not used either of these shops myself for an oil change, but did have Tuners RS Motorsports in Coral Spings do some other work on my car late last year.
I was very pleased with the work they did you might try them.
Another Indy that advertises in the local PCA magazine is Foreign Affairs Motorsports in Pompano.
Also, in West Palm Beach there is Qrbit Racing, but that’s a bit north for you.

Personally I take it to the dealer every 10k and do an extra change every 5k. Costs about $90 to do it yourself and 81k miles later with my crazy driving and a couple track days it’s running great.
