991 Retractable Spoiler/Deck Lid Alignment fix???
After taking the below picture I was somewhat horrified (exaggerating) at the alignment or miss-alignment of the retractable rear spoiler on my 991.2 911 - when in the 'down' position. Yes, nitpicking... but I have seen better or worse examples of the installation of the spoiler. (edit: The spoiler operates up and down just fine.)
I've searched this forum, but haven't seen any answer... so, is there some simple set-key adjustment/or twist of some little rubber feet somewhere (that I or the dealer can make) to bring the spoiler back in line with the rear hatch? Mine is misaligned like that. Since delivery. The front corners stick up ever so much...

This is a common defect in the boosted #2 cars. They are warping from excessive heat generated from having the turbos and full exhaust and engine so close together. Design flaw. Similar to IMS failure.

I think I've seen more cars with the ends of the spoiler slightly misaligned or warped compared to not. It's interesting that in all the pictures the ends on each side appear to be off by the same amount. |

About 59 miles in. (After I came home and looked at these photos.) Only thing is, I bought the car from Florida, and had it shipped to me in Oregon. My local dealer didn't sell me the car (it wasn't available here). I could ask my local dealer to look at it when they cover the Porsche-supplied 10k first oil change. Or, I could ask them to cover it under a warranty. Or, I could just chill and drive the darned thing.

The spoiler can’t be adjusted too much since there are guide pins that align the spoiler to the body. |
So... someone just pinged me on this. I didn’t move the spoiler, but I did open up the engine lid and twisted the small black rubber bumpers that control alignment of the engine lid. These bumpers move in and out to and allow you to adjust the height just enough to fix it. |
This was an issue with my 991.1 C2S wing/spoiler/flap. I took it to a dealer and was told there are no adjustments possible to fix my misalignment (worse than yours). They replaced the entire hinge assys and operating mechs with new for $3500 - warranty covered it. That solved my problem.

To clarify there is (limited) adjustment on both the engine lid and the wing leading edges.
