Default No liability - How much is it really worth

Fellow owners, I’m trying to come up with a good number that would make the no liability worth the while. I’m sure that to each individual the liability comfort level and cost may be diff, but let’s try to put an average number to it.

3 year lease vs 3 year balloon military auto loan both with the same same residual (pay out to own).
$15K diff assuming you end up buying the car at the end of the 3 year.

Assuming driven miles are the same, say 5K a year.

Is it worth to go with a lease and the extra $15K?

you are basically paying $5K per year or $15K for the 3 year term to have a deprecation insurance from accidents or unplanned value drop.

What do you think?

Statistics again. Could you really lose as much as $15k on reduced value from a repair? I know I lost $2k+ recently but that's just change.
