Four season tires
are there any four season tires out there that will fit the 991.2 4S Targa? I would sure like to put Michelins on but their website says that the four season tires they have will not fit my car.

The problem with 4-season tires, is that they don't do anything particularly well. It's a compromise.

I had Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on a previous car and loved them. Not sure I would do on a #2 car(tq) but on a #1 car, would consider. For a low torque, non track experience it is a solid choice. If you are going to drive in the rain or under 50 degrees then they are superior to the summer tires.

Fully agree on the competence of Pilot Sport A/S compared to Super Sports. There is very little compromise in the dry, and they are better in the wet and cold and fully acceptable for general use.
I replaced Pilot Sports with them on an Infinity G35 S when I found them dangerous to use under about 30 F, due to longer than reasonable breaking distances in sudden stop situations. They were so close in every other respect to the summer performance tires that I would seriously consider them for my 991, which I do not track or autocross- IF THEY WERE AVAILABLE IN THE OEM SIZES- which they are not!

Age-old discussion here: all-season verses summer/winter tire sets. Looks like living in sunny Florida, you would experience a minimum number of days with temps below 45 degrees, which seems to be the magic number at which you would switch from summer to winter tires....so you could get away with leaving your summer high performance tires on all year long. Since all Porsche vehicles will perform significantly better with OEM tires, having a winter tire/wheel and summer tire/wheel set available is a great performance "mod" investment. Plus, your rubber lasts twice as long!

+ 1 on Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Unless you are REALLY pushing the car hard, you will be satisfied with them and they wear much longer as well.

OK, that's all well & good, but there is no such thing as a 4-Season tire in a 305/30/20 size, and a Targa 4S needs a 305 rear tire.
