seat heater temp?
I have about 800 miles on my C2S.
I notice the seat heaters certainly get warm on level 3 but not to the level I have experienced on other cars. Particularly my old Audi S5 and wife's Mercedes SUV. Those would get hot enough where I would need to turn the level down. I can ride around all day with the 911s at max intensity without it feeling to hot.
Is this what others have experienced relative to other cars or do I possibly have a problem?
Thanks

Mine would fry my *** if left on 3 for an extended period of time. I usually pop it on 1 for about 5 mins and turn it off as even on 1, it'll give you swamp *** after awhile.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I should try the obvious step and sit in the passenger seat for a few minutes to compare.
Somewhere along the way I read on here the seat heaters will not work great if it is to warm. Is that correct? I have never had a car where external temperature made any difference in how the heater worked.
I should say I run the seat heater in pretty warm temps. I fell through my attic and broke my back in the past and deal with lots of back issues so I use it more for a therapeutic effect than because it is cold.

I should read the manual BUT it seems to me that the intensity of the heat changes based on the external temperature. I sense this in both the seats and the heated steering wheel.

Also, I believe I read that your battery need to be completely charged for optimal performance?

Follow up on this:
I tested the passenger seat and it gets to the same temperature level.
Called the dealer and spoke to a service tech. I am rephrasing his words so it may not be technically correct but the idea remains the same. Somewhere in the seat is a thermostat of sort that measures ambient temp and the heat output of the seat is adjusted accordingly. In warmer temps the seats will just not get as hot as I have experienced in other makers cars.
I told him I use the heat for therapeutic reasons due to a previous back injury and not for temperature reasons and asked if the thermostat could be defeated to allow for a warmer seat temperature regardless of the ambient temperature. He was unsure of that but indicated they could check if the car was in for service. Will have it looked at sometime when the car is in for other service.

I leave it on 3 until I cannot stand it and then to 2 or 1. Also depends on how many layers of clothing you have on.

Things seem to make sense now.. My experience is the same. Bi-polar temperatures..
Stop it Porsche. Just give me regular settings.. Heated seats in a golf shame the heated seats in a 911.
The heated/ventilated combo as mentioned above was such a strange feeling to me. Never felt anything like it before. I did both on 3 LED's.

They do seem a bit on the cool side. I like it, personally. Can have the lowest setting on all the time. My Golf R is too hot even on its lowest setting.

Our BMW X3 certainly becomes a lot warmer than the Porsche does. The Porsche never becomes too hot to handle even when left on 3 for extended time. In fact, I have wondered about the fact that it does not become warmer than it does.
