I finally cracked under the strain of wanting a 911 for so long. I took a test drive in a used '17 C2 GTS which my long time dealer for Audi and Porsche, handed over the keys for my wife and I to take out (never had a test drive in a car without the sales guy riding along before). Wow, no turning back after that drive so I sent him a build for what I wanted last Dec. Long story short, no allocations for 2018 GTS left (in Dec 2017!) so after some time of hunting for an allocation, I found a lightly used (600 miles) C4 GTS with nearly all of what I wanted plus things I didn't but that's ok. Finally took a couple of pics today after paint correction and coating and Carnuba; tint; side markers. This is a wonderful forum as you know, thanks for the study resource.
