I used to run Escort LIve as well, but have switched to Waze. There are far more users out there, so the information is much more complete.

Another great way to mount the LED is bottom of the speedo. It reflects upward onto the glass illuminating the speedo glass. Really cool effect.

Looks great. I’m getting mine installed Tuesday. I see you didn’t go with the new Optix jammers. Were they available? Also you went with the wireless remote vs the hardwired. Any reason for that option? Thanks

Yes, I have a good reason - that's how I bought the car. Fortunately when you buy CPO these things don't cost a penny. :-)

I would go with the wired controller and new jammers of course. I actually like the LEDs in the vents. Very clever. I don't think I would put them in the dash - mostly in case you ever want to remove the system.

Also - make sure you get a proper install done, i.e. bumper removed!

Yes of course bumper removed. Why the wired remote? Pretty torn about this. It’s an extra $500. Not sure I’m going to change the settings so frequently?

When you do need it, it's a pain sometimes. The remote used to be on the visor with the metal clip but that left an impression on the leather so I removed it from there. Plus on the convertible anything on the sun visor doesn't look good. I just prefer things to be hardwired with buttons lit at night. I didn't know it was $500 - Yikes.

This would be great but not possible on the cabrio.

BMW owner are more lucky hiding the remote.

My Uniden R1 showed up today.

Everything looks nicely packaged.

Unwrapped and laid out. It weighs less than my ancient Bel RX65 Pro.

Looking forward to testing it out tomorrow. I will post an update. I like that it's all black. No reflections in the windshield like with silver or chrome trim - I'm looking at you Uniden R3.

Make sure you have firmware 1.37. Lots of new features and fixes being added to the R3.

Put it on today. On the windshield till the Blendmount gets here. A lot of interesting set up options. I do have the most recent software. So far so good. Really compact unit.
