Best Wipers
The time has come again to get new wiper blades and although i was satisfied with the Trico Force Premium blades i was surprised at how quickly they streaked and am therefore looking for a better option. i ordered the Bosch Icons but realized that they actually don’t fit the attachment on our car (991.1) and am left at the drawing board. any recommendations?

I'm pretty anal about my wipers and the ones I've found work the best for a bit of a premium are the PIAA Si-Techs.

Guys, thanks for the suggestions, I bought a few pair off amazon and will be testing them out:
Bosch AeroTwin A697S and an OEM part number product as well. I will see if they are the exact same wiper, if so return one, if not try them both and report back to this thread. I am an all weather driver, so wiper quality is a key thing! |
im trying the PIAA, which come with a wipe to slicken up the surface (i think?)

Don't get the PIAAs silicone. I tried and returned them.
- Incorrect fitment...stick further out than stock (wiper arms angle up instead of down) - Made in Taiwan and cheap plastic - Comes with many useless 'clip on' adapters that are flimsy and I could envision them snapping - Ugly bright white PIAA logos in your face when sitting inside - Edges don't make contact with windshield in closed position... break in and bending a little didn't help - Blade got a tiny tare only after 2 weeks.. apparently its 'softer' - Doesn't rub bug guts off as well...soft blade just rolls over - Comes with 'silicone coating' that causes smearing... will eventually wear off and also interferes if you already have your own coating - Non-aero design and kind of skips around at speed - Cost 2 times more than OEM I put the OEM back on and its so much better. Best of just replacing these more frequently than getting the PIAA junk. If someone has a better suggestion let me know... |
