What's The lasted issue that's out, 004?
#34
I finally renewed my subscription. 000 is truly a great read. My brain is tired after each issue from absorbing the deep knowledge but maybe that's a good thing. Come to think of it I do feel smarter now.

I've subscribed and then bought subscriptions for three friends. I'm a huge car guy so I've seen and read it all. Having said that this publication stands out. It's quality makes it an occasion to sit down and take it in. The photography, Print quality, paper quality, layout, writing etc are a step above the usual car publication droning. This is worth every penny. I'm not affiliated in any way...just wanted to nudge anyone on the fence to take the plunge.
PS..The customer service is great - My credit card company blocked payment when they saw 4 purchases of the same thing. 000 customer service was very responsive and helpful.

I believe most or all are in the mail, as some subscriber copies already landed last week. Mark Greene (CarsYeah.com) put a pic of his up on FB, and he's a regular subscriber.

Reading issue #5 and it's my favorite so far...and I'm only 60% into it - pacing myself...
The meat of it is the 996 GT3 development. (I glossed over the few pages on Porsche keys, I'm not yet that much of an anorak but might get there)
This is fascinating to me because despite my preference for older cars, the 996 (with aerokit, we didn't get the first GT3 here) came out at a time when I was a certifiable Porsche nut w/o kids (with an SC and a 356C) and had a lot of time to do DEs every other week end, and went to all the races at Sears point and Laguna Seca, even Le Mans once, and watched teams like the Racer's group (and others) win everything in ALMS in those cars.... It was the first "modern classic" that was born and evolved in front of my eyes... And it's now 20y old !!! Ouch !
The insider stories are fascinating... You could not come close to that level of details or research in Pano or excellence... Hearing about Porsche having to deal with their unions to do the small #s of GT3s outside of the normal assembly procedures...the quote about Wiedeking threatening to "cut off the *****" of the employees that were unwilling to help Kussmaul assemble the GT3 was too funny.. "I can arrange for jobs at Audi or Mercedes for you" makes you giggle... Stuff only found in 000, it's casual enough to have this sort of interviews you would probably not find in a reference book, but would also never find in a normal magazine with limited space and less access/research... Very, very cool !

Issue #5 arrived recently. Outstanding as always. My wife, family and friends don't get spending this much on a magazine that comes quarterly but once opened the excellent pictures and in-depth articles along with details like the quality of the paper and how it's perfectly bound, it all makes sense.
If it were possible I would buy a lifetime subscription.

OK Pete
I hope that we can convince you to print more copies from the first issue going forward. I'm glad I got my copy of the first issue before they sold out as well! I didn't see any for sale at Hershey, And like my cars, I don't plan on selling any issues anytime soon.
The market is there!
