Great idea on the wheels. I am in complete agreement. I didn't want black wheels at all, but I wanted CLs, so I accepted them. My objection to them has to do with how all wheel detail disappears unless in bright sunlight, and the boundary between wheel, tire, and fender-well disappears. Wound up painting mine GT Silver to match the car. But your solution looks like a great one for re-introducing that visual boundary between wheel and tire.

That is a gorgeous Guards Red GTS! Many congrats!

Love your DIY red trim around the wheels a la GT3. Nice.

And the interior colour scheme really complements the bright red paintwork. Well played.

I, too, would much prefer silver over black. Your wheels (and car) look awesome!!!

How did you get that red lip on the wheels? Was that factory? I didn’t see that option when i speced mine.
The wheels trimmed in Guards Red is a nice Porsche GT3 option (XTG @ $1,920) … not a 911 GTS option. I just used Stripe-It-All wheel vinyl striping kit to make sure I was happy with the look. Next I plan to have a local pin-striper paint them on the wheels like Porsche trims them.

My car was a 4 month wait for me because I pick up a mid-December GTS build at the end of October. Waited about 6 weeks before the build to start ... Porsche indicated a Feb. 23 delivery which was actually Feb. 26th.

I must say you are certainly getting the most out of your available garage space!!

Yep ... could use more space but it works. Must keep the Jeep as we tow it behind our coach ... may get a enclosed car holder trailer for the Porsche in the future.

Love your new blue toy and your garage!

Congrats OP, stunning build!!! Enjoy in good health and drive it like you stole it.

That is EXACTLY how I’d spec mine if I was ordering new. Love the espresso/cognac interior with the CF and sport plus seats (or 18ways?). Please post more pics of the interior . Love love love everything about it. Gorgeous.

Btw, if you ever decide to sell and pass on to a fellow enthusiast years down the road, pm me and you have a buyer. I’m dead serious.

Congratulations on the new car. The GTS Coupe is an amazing car as are all the new cars. Great idea for the wheels but I hate to tell you how much Porsche over-charges for it.

Those painted wheels do look really nice! Both yours and the OP's!

It's kind of growing on me...
