Default East Coast Musicar Group Installation..

Ok, so I have a GTS Targa on order and incoming in May. I am currently going through the preliminary conversations with various installers and of course, Musicar and their work was one of the things I insisted on replicating. However, here on the East Coast I can tell you that I dont know of anyone doing this type of work. Which lead me to call Musicar..

Based on a preliminary phone call with the owner Tom, who by the way was really cool and seems to be a car enthusiast as well, he agreed to fly himself and his techs to the East Coast for a week to do his custom installs on our Porsches provided we can get enough guys on board to justify coming.

The pricing would actually be lower than if any one of us went to him directly because he is doing essentially the same install on multiple cars.
This thread is basically a gauge to see who would be interested in joining in for radar install, stereo upgrade and/or video cameras.
If you live on the East Coast and would like to be a part of it, please add your name below and lets see if we can make it beneficial for all parties involved.

The East Coast is pretty big. Where might something like this happen?

The exact location is to be determined. I am in Connecticut and I know of another member from CT who is interested. I am open to NY, NJ, CT or wherever it is most convenient.

Bring it to Atlanta and I’d be interested. At least it’s warm here.

I am willing to bring my car up or down the east coast if the majority of the cars is one place or another. Currently it looks like the majority are in Connecticut which is great for me. I have a relationship with Hilton Hotels so I can get the guys from Musicar some pretty cheap rooms to stay in while here. What we need is a location where they can do all of the work like a hangar or enclosed large garage that is both safe and secure as well as large enough to hold 5-6 cars. If anyone has any ideas please respond. In the meantime, I am looking into it myself.

I would be interested in a stereo upgrade. I am near Boston - be willing to travel anywhere in NE corridor.

I would be interested as well, either Ft. Lauderdale or Asheville depending on timing.

Tom is going to be there a while. He certainly works faster than I do and knows how to make things happen a lot quicker than I, but the front and rear bumper covers have to come off, sensors mounted which is a somewhat precision task (particularly for the front), and a pretty good size wire bundle pulled from the front bumper area to the cabin and properly sealed at the cabin entry point, and then the same for the rear. After that the drivers seat needs to be pulled out to properly run wires, and then mount the control boxes under the seat and then terminate wires, and then the whole system tested. So more than 3 or 4 cars and he is going to be there a long time. May not be a problem, just sayin....

If this can happen later in the year like in October, then I would love to participate. I have 2 cars inbound that will need MaxCi360/ALP installed. Also would like to get a front camera installed on one of the cars too. I'm okay with traveling to CT from NY.

Thanks,

John

Flickroll: He is coming with 3 techs, so I think it will go faster than you think, plus he's done this many times before and the custom parts will be fabricated before they depart..
JW1: This is happening in May, so I dont think your timeframe is going to work. Maybe you can set up a different group install in 6 months?

Thanks PTS-BRG. That will certainly make a difference. They'll be able to knock things out with a crew of 4. I thought it was only Tom that was coming.
