Cleaning water spots out of aluminum window trim
My 991 came with what seems like a fairly rare option - window trim in polished aluminum. Unfortunately my lackadaisical approach to car washing has yielded water spots.
Anyone have tips on removing spots, short of replacement ($$$$) or wrapping in vinyl?

That's really just a polish. Lotta stuff out there one thing posing as another.
What matters most here, is it just polished aluminum? Or clear-coated polished aluminum? I seriously doubt bare aluminum, because in a year or so it would tarnish and need regular polishing. But you need to know. Because if its clear-coat then its treated the same as the rest of the paint on the car. Carefully wash. Then try clay. Then try polish. Wax when done. Be especially gentle, because small parts like this, real easy to apply too much pressure or polish too much and remove too much paint.
