Default 911 T - Thoughts?

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.

I just saw this video on the 911T and it gets me excited. To get a 911 with Buckets and not have it be a GT car, something fun about that.

What are your thoughts on the 911T?

Mine is coming in April.

The buckets plus RAS and SPASM were impossible to resist.

Love the car. Love the idea of buckets in the car. Would not own. Buckets would get mildly old for me and wife would Bitch every time she got in and out which wouldn’t be often because of the seats. YMMV. If I was younger and single, I’d have them if I ordered a T.

In my opinion It's a redux of the RS America. Everything you want and nothing you don't. I ordered mine no fluff. I'd go buckets, but I have a 2 y/o and can't wait to bring her along. I can't do that in the RSA. I'm not sold on the RAS. Is it really needed?

Think it's a cool model.

Love it! Not a GT 3, or a 911R, but for what it’s supposed be, a sporty drivers car, it should be great.

I'm with Jordan - the T reminds me of the 93 RS America I should've bought. Everything I want and nothing I don't need. I'm glad RAS is an option - some (like me) will find it a game changer, others will prefer the simplicity. Also wish PSE was a option (not standard) and the Carrera S brakes were an option (not available). But other than those 2 changes I think they got it just right!

Mine should be here this week or next!

cheers!

The T allows some nice choices on a base car, and anything designated as a special model by Porsche is going to be coveted (Endurance Edition aside).. My opinion is they didn't go far enough either up or down market. Not sure any of us amateurs could tell the difference between a base and a T and if there is a difference, is it worth the extra money and sacrifice of creature comforts?

I like the T and if I were to order a new Porsche this would be it with LWB and PCCB as the two big ticket items. I would also check a few other boxes that put it right near $130K. Add tax and registration and destination and I am at or above $145K. Soooooo not worth it to me and without those big ticket options I figure I might as well just get a Base. But yes, I like the T a lot and in the future will probably regret not spending the money.

Nice car but I would prefer to pay 12% more and get a GTS. I do not understand why T is 15% more expensive than base model.

I think it has some similarities to the RS America in thought, but in practice I wish that they went over board and made even more lightweight components for the car.

I liked RAS on track, but I prefer to trail brake and throttle steer.

I agree, but its a nice touch for those that want lightweight, but want to keep their wallets heavyweight.

Except the RSA was $10k less than a Carrera and the T is $11k more

Even so, the T is a cool model...

Of course, that sort of thinking nearly put Porsche out of business. I'd rather have a healthy Porsche making cool cars :-)
