I just bought a new 2017 C2S. Absolutely love the car. Only issue is that when I took delivery, I found a small dent and scrape on the side of the rear bumper. The dealer tried to buff it, but there is still about a half inch area that is discolored and indented. I am sure I notice it more because i know it is there (and because it is a white car).
The dealer has offered to take it for a week while I am out of town and repair it. Being that it is the bumper cover, I am not sure there is anything they can do other than replace the bumper coverMy question is whether I should have them do such a major repair for a small imperfection, or should I ask for something else. Maybe a credit towards future service or something?
Any advice?

Yes, it does bother me. There is just a part of me that feels like replacing the whole cover is a big fix for a small problem.
However, I appreciate all of your advice, especially since you are all saying the same thing.

The result is going to be a full respray and fix. Get it documented so if they try to use that against you later that you can have some documentation on trade.
Have them fix it. And I wouldn't worry about people "using it against you" later. This happens all the time and dealers make the fixes before they sell the cars. Lot's of us unknowingly have cars that have had similar dings prior to delivery. . .

This is not a major repair.
Removing, replacing/repairing, and paint-matching bumper covers is the primary expertise of any body shop that does insurance work.
You dealer likely works with one or two body shops. They will take your car to one of those shops. That shop will pull the cover, sand it, fill the damage with plastic filler and repaint.
You can press for a new cover. If they agree, put an indelible identifying mark on the inside of your cover before your turn over your car...
I see your point anytime you take a car to a body shop there is the potential for more damage/overspray and months of time or things not being done correctly. I would make them fix it but make sure you know which body shop and interact with the body shop to make sure they are aware of the fact that you will "approve" the paint match before they spray. Visit the car during the process and try to become friendly with them as this will ensure that the job is done correctly. Most body shops will botch at least 1 job a week.
I have had a similar experience but it was casused in a parking garage and the 991was black. I took it to a paintless dent-removal specialist. He fixed it in one hour while I was watching.

They are picking it up tomorrow to start the work while I am out of town.
