I was wondering as well but iirc this was spec'd with it according to the owner.

Beautiful!! Nice touches. I think there are going to be ALOT of GT Silver T's and you are going to be PM'd like crazy on the trim supplier and cost info.

I like the sport design pkg but the center plastic insert kills it for me. The mesh grills would have to be installed somehow to mask it.

You guys know you can get the leather trim to replace the gloss black for free right? Its a sneaky feature.

I don't like the optional Sport design front fascia applied on the T anyway. I prefer the T the standard way... and IMO it already looks sporty enough especially with the addition of the standard & more aggressive Sport front splitter:

Yep - and that's actually how I ordered mine - but the leather trim looks too blocky in person with the black dash - hence the swap. The dark aluminum is a much nicer finish in my opinion.

I agree. Looks more sleek and aggressive. Is it roughly 2k with install (including the wheel accents?)

And you can recover a good chunk of that by selling the leather parts on eBay...

Now, what I don't know is if the leather trim would look a bit better with the full leather package vs partial leather since the parts surrounding this trim will be all the same leather instead of leather vs P.U.

Yeaassss. I am loving the blacked out look. I love the 'piano black' trim (my first Audi Avant had this, so to me it is a feature, not a bug), but the steering wheel trim pieces will be my first official 'mod'.

And. It seems Suncoast has them:

Though, the Suncoast description recommends dealer installed. Really?

Some things to consider re: dash trim swap on a T (or Carrera/S/GTS):
  • Vinyl dash/door cars have door cards WITHOUT separate decorative trim pieces—meaning all you have to change is the dash trim and center console.
  • Full-leather dash/door cars have door cards WITH separate decorative trim pieces—meaning you have to change them to match whatever you want to swap to on the dash—and this is not easy, as the door trims are not sold separately that I have seen, and attached via pegs that are "melted" into place.
Therefore, if you want to do the dark aluminum dash trim (or something else) after delivery, you want a standard vinyl interior or full-leather WITH the leather dash trim (to get the door trims in leather, though that means they won't match your new door trim). The alternative is to pay the CXX tax for the Anthracite or Black aluminum dash/door/console trim, which was $3400 when I looked into it vs $820-970 for the bright silver brushed aluminum trim and ~$2000 for the carbon-fiber trim available on the configurator.

The steering wheel inserts are definitely a dealer-installed-only part. Steering wheel has to come out, and the amount of stuff that has to be torn apart to do it was surprising.

cheers!

They have them for multi-function too. Oh yes! https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU998BLK.html
