Wanted to give a quick intro and join the group here. Traded my 07 997TT tip in on Sat and got back in a 3 pedal car with CPO peace of mind. She is a 2013 with 33k miles on her .

This is my 3rd 911 and I look forward to learning more about this variant here.

Have the quick jack in the garage and like to do some of my own work when I am able. Hope to contribute someday , but have a lot to learn about this thing first. Pretty impressive car so far.

Thanks ,

Lou

Congrats on the car and welcome to the 991 crowd!

You'll find that although this group doesn't have as many DIY posts as the 997 and 996 forums, it is starting to build up now that the cars are getting a little older. I like to tackle as much work as I possibly can and will post a DIY when I tackle something there doesn't already seem to be a DIY for. There are a decent amount of DIY's scattered through the 991 forum, the advanced search function will help you find them. Maybe someday our mods will create a sub-forum just for 991 DIYs (hell, I'd be willing to search for and move all the scattered DIYs in our main forum to the sub-forum if they wanted to give me temporary mod powers to do it). This should be the very first thread you check out if you like wrenching on your own car. https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1043...ce-manual.html

How do you like your QuickJack? I've been seriously considering getting a QuickJack or a portable two post lift like the MaxJack. I do a fair amount of work on my cars to the point I'm kind of "over" jacking them up and putting them on jackstands. I think a 4-post lift would be overkill for me since I wouldn't be using it to store an additional car in the garage which is why I'm debating the QuickJack or MaxJack. What really attracts me to these two "solutions" is they are "portable" which means I can pull the wife's car out of the garage and jack up my entire car in the middle of our two-car garage giving me a whole lot more space while working on the car versus it being slammed over to one side of the garage.

More pics but she is a beauty. Any mod plans?

Congrats, enjoy in good health!

Thanks guys, and a huge thank you for the link . That info is valuable for sure.

The QuickJack 5000SLX I bought from Pelican is awesome. Paid for itself in one brake job and a few oil changes vs paying someone . I leave it all hooked up in my 2 car garage, and just store them slid together under the car . So much easier and safer than the old method.

I will put up some more pics soon. Taking her back to the PCar dealer for some more detailing tomorrow. Hope I don't break down when I see my old Turbo on their lot.

Not sure about modding her yet , but I am all ears about what's available that won't affect the CPO status. She has PSE which I think is my favorite feature so far.

Post up the build sheet when you have time and some interior pic's.

Sharp 991! Welcome & congrats! for 3 pedals haha

Our 991 Sport Headers w/OEM PSE exhaust is personally one of my favorite set-ups that picks up awesome power (+15whp/27ft-lbs) along with a beautiful refined, deep flat-6 note. Direct bolt-on swap too.

Feel free to give me a shout if you ever need anything!

Gorgeous. Welcome aboard.

DIY posts (beyond oil changes) will commence in a couple of years once more are out of warranty.

The trick, for other tasks, will finding/devising alternative procedures that don’t require a PIWIS.

Sweet car--and welcome back to the MT club.

Congrats on a great looking car, and welcome from a fellow MT driver.

Thanks for the welcome and compliments guys. Different kind of awesome if how I describe her after a few hundred miles . Anxious to at least make the stereo sound better for starters . But Bluetooth and streaming is a nice treat coming from an older car.

Here's the build sheet and a couple interior pics as requested . My SA at SD Porsche was Eric Samila . Incredible new dealership with lots of eye candy of all kinds. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/rennlis...ecf480ff25.jpg

Welcome to the 991 club! That's a beauty!!!

The earlier reference to the other doc reminds me that I should share this one with the 991.1 crowd. It is a detailed technical description of the 991.1:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/4jpmkhmjlupf6w9/991%20SIT.pdf

Also, for the 991.2 folks stumbling into this, I have one for them too:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/lckic8k1ov...%20sit%202.pdf

I'll leave these in my DropBox for sharing for a while. They are both nearly 200 pages so these aren't exactly light reading. I'd recommend a quick skim over them for the things of most interest to you first.
