Default My 911 - C2 - Assume Lease

Hi all,

I am going to pull the trigger on another 911 and wondered if anybody wanted to assume my lease. It's $1220/month (I paid down the monthly payments), 10,000 miles per year. I have used 15,000 miles and have 14 months left, so you can do a little over 1,000 miles a month. The lease end buyout is around $65K. I'll get the exact numbers if anybody shows sincere interest. I am hoping for the assumption plus a little cash recovery but I'll see what is offered.

The build is attached.

Thanks.

Thanks kindly for the advice. Actually, I have an account there for a 335is I had. It's a pain in the butt and a waste of money. A couple of guys have already expressed interest last week so I'll see what happens. I'll just keep it until the new one comes in if nobody wants to jump on it.

What are the specifics on Porsche Financials policy? I've read they do not allow lease transfers? So the original lessee would sill be on the hook if something were to happen? Would be good to get some clarification on this. Thanks

I've seen Dan's car in person - it's a beautiful car and very well taken care of!

Thanks, I'll check it out tomorrow when I see my SA. I just read somewhere (maybe here?) f somebody doing a lease transfer. If not, somebody could also just buy it.

Please update us. I've read multiple times they do not allow full lease transfers.

Unless PCNA has recently changed their policy, they do NOT release the original lessee from the lease. They will transfer the lease to the new lessee but your still on the hook if they default. Not a good place to be!!

May I ask why you are getting rid of such a new car and which 911 you are going to get instead? Maybe you mentioned it in another thread that I missed.

It’s leased and can be returned, so I am ordering a new one.

Great spec on the build, exactly what I'm looking for.
.
I would be interested in an outright purchase, but I'm thinking you are a fair bit upside-down on a "give it back to the dealer" scenario and still a bit upside down on a 'payoff Porsche, private sale' alternative if you don't want to carry forward lease liability.... Do you know what your current payoff is to walk away from the lease with the car?

While most interested in a fair-market-value private party cash purchase. I would also be interested in a lease assumption but only if it was as or more favorable a price as a cash purchase.

Sorry to hear that. I assumed that since they're still in business, people make it work and it can be a win-win. I forgot that it cost money to sign up.

I have car A.D.D. so I thought that it would be a good way to slide into a 12 month lease, but every time I look, there are few if any bargains. Few people want to buy down the lease to make it more palatable.

As of this morning, it's $88,974 but the September payment hasn't hit the account, so about $88K.

If you are going to lease again, ask your dealer if they are doing a lease loyalty program. This south Florida dealer can do up to 12 months lease forgiveness.
