I have wheel and tire insurance on my 2 month old GTS. Already used it... had a flat, went to the dealer and replaced the tire for $50 deductible. I have it on my wife’s E63 as well and have had 4 wheels replaced in addition to a tire replacement for a snake bite flat.

If you don’t mind can you tell me how much you paid for the PORSCHE insurance?

I'd also be interested in what sort of damaged resulted in wheel replacement. From what I've read it's *really* hard to bend MB wheels - much less Porsche.

My P-car dealer used their sister store next door to get a better policy (Audi) that covers wheels/tires and cosmetic.

$1495 for 5 years. 50.00 deductible for tires, zero duductible for cosmetic.
Max. of 8 tires over life of policy.

If I recall correctly, 3 years of insurance was $1,500.

EDIT: I went back over my paperwork and did not see the amount on my final invoice. Going in the mental way back machine, I think the insurance was something odd, like $1,247 for 3 years

Was picking up my car just a few days after watching Nick’s flat video... also have curbed some very expensive wheels in my time. Boston is just rough and I guess so am I. Anyway, 0 deductible, 5 year. Covers snows and summers “ significant cosmetic” and road hazard damage. $1895. Was a bit higher, but we they moved a bit. I don’t do extended or supplemental warranties usually, but I’ve a feeling this one will pay for itself a few times over.

To the guy that got taken, read the terms. You may be able to get a refund for the pro-rated unused term. Just make sure you ink a better replacement deal first...

Was it $1,895 for the Porsche "Premier Tire & Wheel Protection – Proactive Protection"? If so, what dealer did you buy it from?

I got 7yr Porsche branded tire and wheel for $1530 from the dealer on a new GTS with the forged, centerlock Turbo wheels. Covers any tires that are OEM approved. SE Mich horrible roads. The price of those rims is $$$$$ - I think I’ll beat the house on this one.

Which Porsche dealer did you purchase it from and when do you buy it? Because that’s about $1000 less than I was quoted for 5 yr coverage. Taking delivery of a new 2017 991.2 coup on Sat and I’d buy the insurance if I got it at the price you paid.
