Not using GT3 rear pads, just on the front. rear size is 4909 ( not the GT3 4925).

Also if you run Pagid yellow 29 pads they will squeal like a pig on the street. Problem is to swap out to stock pads you have to remove the caliper to swap pads. the aluminum upright that the calipers bolt to will wear out quickly doing this...so go to Tarett and buy the caliper stud kit...its around $250....makes it easier with out wearing the aluminum uprights out each time you swap pads.
Mike very valid point on the threads in the uprights. For cars seeing a lot of track use we recommend installing Time-Serts into the uprights, stud kits are another alternative.

Do you have a link to these Time-Serts? Specifically for the base 991.2 4 piston calipers. Thanks!

I've been running Pagid RS29's on my Mustangs for years and have no brake squeal on the street. In fact it's the reason I run them so I don't have to swap back n forth between street and track. I'm running a similar caliper stud kit on my GT350 and it's the only way to go if you do your own brakes and your calipers do not have a removable bridge.

try them on a 997 or 991....squeal like a pig....they stop the squeal at the track as they bed in and are pretty quiet on the drive home but with street driving in a few days they start to squeal badly....always have for me and guys I track with

doesnt mean the Pagid RS29 pads are not good...they have always worked well for me as a track pad.

Not sure why a different car would make a difference but wanted others to know they don't always squeal. I've run 6-7 sets of them with no squealing. I follow the Pagid bedding procedure as close as I can without breaking any laws. Now Hawks squeal so loud on the street they scare me.

Back on topic when using the Girodisc 350mm rotors you can use the larger GT3 pads? I have a 991.1 C2S. How much larger are they? Any photos comparing the two pads?

4922 ( front for the 991.1 S) is 193.6 x 73 mm
4924 ( front for 991.1 GT3) is 198 x 80 mm in total metal area.

We haven't done any 991.2 Bse vehicles yet, but here is a link to the Time Sert website to review them.

FWIW and from experience I think the caliper studs are a much better option if you're tracking your car and changing pads frequently.

Yes caliper studs are a must with these cars...they are inexpensive at around $250 and easy to install.

so getting back to the original question ... I have just passed the 1K miles mark on my new 991.2 GTS and am heading to Laguna Seca for an HOD day next month ... do I just power thru with the stock pads for now? I run in the top group normally in my M3 race car but this time will definitely take the GTS

is the fade with stock pads extreme?

It can be. Normally they just wear EXTREMELY QUICKLY -

If you need track Day stuff: Give me a shout for Pagid, PFC or GiroDisc, glad to help, ton of experience
