My reply from Chstek was " Sir, this is the factory default brightness and cannot be changed"
Everyone avoid the 6125 model if you drive alot at night. Its not terrible, but my eyes are pretty sensitive nowadays

File needs to be of the correct format and inside a mycar folder where the folder name is all lower case
It should work

The steering control mystery is resolved, it seems a plug with 2 white cables was not seated 100% on the back of the head unit, I pushed them in, and voila everything worked. Not sure what the SWC app is for though as it wasn't needed and still doesn't show it's ready to pair.
Updated the wallpaper but no joy with the boot logo its in the correct folder on my USB and I can see it just fine on file manager but the option never shows up no matter how many times I swipe left or right.

Didn't work for me unfortunately, and still doesn't, maybe it's my headunit try with both USB ports. But it's an easy fix, I just copy it to the internal storage (there's a mycar folder in there already, so it was obvious where to copy it to)

Anyone else receive a camera with their CHSTEK, no idea what the quality is and there is no mounting hardware or documentation with it.

True but that's a bit more complex for non techies to attempt.
I just refreshed the guide with few things including adding the boot image to the local storage. I'll add a note in the next version about the boot animation method for those who are confident in that kind of thing.

That sux. Hope you can figure it out. I. The 7862, we need to update the factory settings minimum brightness and then have to toggle down the UI brightness. Does your unit only have that factory brightness setting? No UI brightness setting?

My unit has virtually 0 customization in the "factory" menu settings. Unfortunate.

If anyone still trying to add a delay off to the rear camera after shifting out of reverse, here are the instructions:
1. You need to get a delay timer such as these RT1M or you can find some more fancy multifunction ones from Amazon. The delay time is configurable via some switches
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32568...Cquery_from%3A
2. You will need to cut/split the brown wire that is energized when in reverse.
3. Here's the wiring diagram (sorry, i don't know how to resize it here) - if your camera doesn't tap power from the brown wire, just connect the camera power to the NO (Load) wire.

The UI brightness is not part of the factory settings. It's the android brightness settings. Does your unit not have that at all?

The 7862 factory brightness setting is pretty similar to what you have except yours have some fixed value to choose from while we have a slider.
