Can you elaborate more, or just referring to the above camera item?

We’d like to know too?

For info the issue with the grid lines is camera related.

The inner thin lines are added by Carplay but the outer thick lines are actually ‘added’ by the camera and would be there regardless of what device the camera was connected to.

We we are going to do some tests but it’s probably a ‘feature’ of the lense and camera placement.

Default Backup Camera

Just trying to figure out the placement of the backup camera on your Porsche?
Is it mounted on the left or right side above the license plate?

It's mounted on the left (driver side), see the picture below. I think this is the best way to get it as close as possible to the center of the car.

Why? I would think camera should be mounted in center. It is on mine from the factory.

This camera replaced one of the license plate lights. Instead of drilling your bumper you just replace one light. By the way, the camera mount will have LEDs for your license plate. The only problem is that the camera will not be mounted in the center of the car.

Overall I'm happy with the system, the camera is an extra help that I didn't have.

Typically with these cameras if you cut one of the wires it removes the guiding lines. If they are not accurate, they are almost better off turned off.
