Why hasn't this 2017 991.2 4S Sold?

It is just waiting for the right owner. It will get sold. The interior is okay, I am glad it is red with black dash. I have seen cars with full red interior (that makes me wanna hurl at times), red and black is decent. I saw a Turbo S with similar combo and it got sold. As mentioned above the red seats do look dark in real life.
Maybe you could be the owner for this nice ride.

This is Bordeaux Red/Black and it is gorgeous. I sat in one at a dealership a few weeks ago. Much darker and more subdued than Carrera Red. Much nicer. The pics don't do it justice. It reminds me of the 997's "Terra Cotta" interior - looked terrible in pictures, but really nice in person.

It’s a great price on a nicely optioned car. As for why it hasn’t sold, it is always hard to speculate but one thing that I have to say is that the Porsche market isn’t as large as people on this forum and others believe. These are very niche cars sold in the very upper pricing bands for premium luxury cars. PCNA sold just 55k cars last year, across all models. Just because a dealer has a car on the lot, doesn’t mean it will sell quickly. PCNA gets a lot of credit for knowing with a lot of precision the size of their market and then controlling supply to minimize discounting, while also catering to an exceptionally loyal customer base. But at the end of the day, this is a niche car segment.
Ask the sales associate why the car hasn’t sold. I would also speculate that this car was only recently discounted and will sell quickly now given the size of the discount and the options; it’s a well-optioned car. This dealership is huge by Porsche standards, part of Penske, in one of the highest volume markets in the country. The discount they are offering on this car puts it at their cost, but they have truckloads of 2018s filling the lot so they need to get rid of this one and some lucky buyer will benefit.
Silver with bordeaux interior is a great combo, the pictures don’t do it justice. I could do without the red gauge face on the chrono but everything else works really well together.

What's your thoughts on why a nice discount on this 4S hasn't result in a quick sell?
I can't see why it's still sitting on the lot. Is it the white gauges or the red leather?

4-way seats. That would be deal breaker on a car otherwise heavily optioned. I personally wouldn't buy this car for a lot of other reasons.

# 1 reason - 4 way seats and no ventilation
# 2 reason - color combo more limited audience
# 3 reason - most guys for new cars want custom builds. Someone screwed up on this dealer spec car with the seats and no ventilation in FL. Plus 4S in FL? Really needed?
Does it still have delivery miles? If it has like 1K or so another reason.

PWB gets a LOT of leftovers from other dealers and PCNA... and they are also a significant mover of "program cars"...previously driven by corporate or used at the experience centers ( you can guess the use experience).
This looks not to be a program car but rather one built for another market and sits..... then ends up in South Florida. Nothing really wrong with it, if the build fits....wear it and enjoy. BTW, if it was moved from other dealers or PCNA, regular invoice margins vs. MSRP no longer apply....happy hunting!!

On cars.com alone there are OVER 1,000 NEW Carrera variants sitting on dealer lots across the USA. Total cars out there in addition to cars.com? Double that at least.

Drive it off the lot and you have a year old pre-owned car with a 4 year warranty. But a low mileage CPO car for less with a six-year warranty or even a '15 Turbo that also has AWD and an extra 100+ HP and AWS.
Anyone who has spent anytime in the winter in Florida knows it can get, and stay, pretty cold. Heated steering wheel is a must have, once you have it, you really miss it.

A 17 is a one-year old car on a model year basis. It will be worth significantly less than a comparable 18 when eventually traded-in or sold by the initial purchaser. Much of the savings of the discount will be lost then. Assuming a typical 5% discount on off-the-lot 18, around $7k, the additional $10k discount on this one, an additional 7%, is just OK, given the restricted market for the options combination chosen, and the model year reduction in trade-in or resale value.

A 12% discount on a one year old car.
You can get like 4%-7% off on a new order.
Warranty probably punched too??
