Porsche's Certificate of Authenticity (COA)
Since you guys are in this forum, I am guessing you like Porsches, the history and the brand. #MeToo
I know COAs are a bit of a gimmick but I didn't need anything for Christmas so when my in-laws asked what I wanted I said get me a COA for both of my Porsches. Pictures below. I found the accuracy and quality to be very good. The options and MSRP exactly matched my Monroney. It comes in a nice folder with a COA signed by Klaus Zellmer (CEO of PCNA) and a letter also signed by him. The cost was about $110 each IIRC.
Some observations:
1. I plan to frame these and hang them on the "I love me wall". I am a bit self conscious that the price is on the COA though and that I may come across as a bit ostentatious to family and friends that may pay homage to the said wall. LOL
2. The MSRP listed on the COA does not include shipping. Initially I thought they made a mistake but after a self audit, I figured it out.
3. Klaus has a signing machine and his signature is not his own. LOL. Since I got two of them back to back, I made a comparison and the signature lines are EXACT. Busted. Porsche didn't expect that one now, did they.
4. I also found it cool that they list which tires came with the car. That is neat.
If you want one, contact them at email: COA@porsche.us

Now that I know that Klaus does not actually personally sign each COA, no way I am purchasing one!

Scan, Modify to remove the MSRP then print on good paper, then frame.
Keep the original with letter.

Membership of the Porsche Club of Great Britain entitles one to one of these free of charge. Normal cost was about £65 or so I think, from memory.

I know that the president of BMW signed the owner's manual for my M Coupe because I handed it to him to sign.
With the cost, I would think they could spare four seconds for Klaus to actually sign the letter. I guess Porsche just does it differently. :-D
