Default V200 - does this make sense ?

C2S build order and deposit placed about a month ago.

Freeze date 2/27/18.

Goes into production 3/30/18.

Dealer says should arrive at PEC-LA in May.

I received an email from PEC Delivery yesterday that car will arrive early to mid July.

Anyone with a similar experience? 6 month wait.

I ordered a C2S Sept 6 and expect the car late Feb to early March. Just got built last week and should be enroute to the port. Originally I was expecting late December. Changed some options before it locked (around Spet 20th I made the change) yet it still pushed my build back 6-8 weeks when they entered my new options in the system. Im in Atlanta area and inquired about PEC delivery. They indicated that would add another 6-8 weeks in Atlanta anyways because they only do 2 deliveries a day there. Dont know if that applies to LA. I wasn't willing to wait for the PEC delivery.

Kind of a hassle. Dealer did tell me that if you change options close to freeze date, it often delays production.

Is it really the case they if you change or modify your build before it locks it will get pushed?
my dealer said it has nothing to do with changes you make before locked.
What has been the experience here with adding options before the fixed date?
