992 spy shots
1. Any strong views on the new shape
2. Should RN not have a 992 topic yet?
3. The article quotes this
"In mid-2017, Michael Mauer, head of VW Group Design, told CAR: 'In the case of the 991, the step up from the 997 was perhaps too evolutionary. For the next model changes, my colleagues are therefore planning a set of more distinctive alterations.'"
For which I could find original interview or articles

Lets just hope it's an engine test car.

I'm surprised by the quotes, you'd think PAG would step it up regarding the design of the 992 (given they won't be producing anymore na's).
At the very least I hope they come up with a nicer looking led headlight.
Damn ALL the Porsches currently produced have better looking headlights than the 911.
I love what they did with the 718, hell even my '17 Cayenne has awesome led headlights!
Here's a rendering of the headlights that looks great, hope they go this way.
The rest of the car is basically a 991.2 not in line with the actual spyshots.
I'm sure it'll a bit more 993 inspired.

Kind of a funny quote, considering the 991, while properly an evolution (as it should be) is a complete design makeover from the 997. The 992 on the other hand looks like a 991 with some slight proportional and superficial tweaks (i.e the 992 to 991 relationship looks more like the 997 to 996 relationship).
I'm guessing by "more distinctive alterations" he's referencing the more blingy/fussy rear design language they're using, and the radically overhauled interior.

My name is Tim and I'm a car-a-holic. I don't care what it looks like. Like every new gen (993-996-997-991) it will have some meaningful mechanical/performance improvements that will make me buy one. If my dealer would take a deposit now, I'd give it to them.
