Great price 2017 C2S. Advice on how to sell.
I talked to the sales manager at Porsche Hickory here in NC. He is handling the purchase I've made of a 2009 Cayenne GTS from another Rennlister. He asked me what I thought of this 2017 C2S and what he might do to get it sold. I'm not affiliated with the dealership, I've just bought several cars from them and have become friends with the sales manager. He has had several inquires and customers weren't sure about the decals. I actually like the ones on the side.
So anyway he was wondering if he got it wrapped would that maybe help. I guess the idea is he could cover the decals. He really can't remove them before sale without causing a built sheet difference. I told him I didn't think he could wrap over decals. I suggested he update the website offering to remove them or remove them and wrap. Here is the deal, he has to sell the thing like really soon. He is taking a huge lose and is willing to do what it takes (I cringed when he told me). I'm going up Monday to pickup my Cayenne if it comes in and will try to test drive it and give feedback. I've seen the 911 in person and the interior is beautiful.
What do you guys think he might do to sell it. It has a 07/2016 build which means it is an early production one, it also means it is a year and a half old. I think the 2019s come out this summer right and that doesn't help. A buyer though is getting a huge discount. I need to look through used 2017s and see how much more it would devalue the moment it is driven off the lot.
Thanks for any helpful feedback. Wish I could afford it. https://porschehickory.com/cars/2017-porsche-911-8/ It says used but it will be sold as new since it has never been titled.

It's a used car. He can remove the decals. And he should. There's a nice car underneath there.
First time I saw one of those up close, not only did i think it was supremely fugly, but I was shocked at how low quality the decals themselves were. The looked like stickers you'd buy at Pep Boys.

Do you feel better? Between me and my late friend we bought 11 Porsches from the dealer, we have a good idea what other might like, he asked me what I thought about a wrap and I advised him to not do it even if he could take the decals off. Let the buyer decided that. It seems like a great buy, was just trying to be helpful.

No body has bit on this in over a year with that look. Pull the decals and sell it as a normal ( but loaded) carrera S.
At least it will look normal and increase the number of possible buyers.
A wrap would scare most new car buyers ( what's under there?).

Yeah good idea I would think he could pull them and show pictures with and without. Maybe if someone then comes along who actually wants them get some more and put them back on. Ya'd think he would at least be able to do that. I'm guessing it is still a great price but maybe not this late into the cycle. Getting a free wrap is nice also.

Wrap it at all the hood in black. Hickory NC I don’t imagine is the type of place flash works. My dealer had one too and discounted it heavily and it sold recently. In person it is pretty cool.
That being said, it won’t move even at $126k. $120k maybe.

Remove decals, throw em in the trash. They're ugly as sin.. What does that say on the hood? OZONE or something? Looks so cheesy.
I wouldn't pay a penny more than 116K for that 911 with it's mileage and condition.

So many variables - stickers off and then price it right would be two on top of list. Very loaded out car sitting for a long time usually means it's mis ordered relative to their local clients and they don't know how to market.

There's a $14K mark up just for the sticker package. Less than 100 came to the US and NOBODY can move these. Worst gimmick edition Porsche has ever done.

1. Remove stickers.
2. Consider painting wheels silver (broader appeal).
3. Price according to age and warranty period lost.
Or make into demo or personal car and add some miles to go with the age. The fact it is 1.5 years old with 47 miles will set off warning bells for a lot of folks—and will some miles really hurt the value at this point?

Advertise on the website that's a "Limited Edition" and some more detail about the Endurance Racing thing. I don't see that anywhere on their website - that would be a great start to let buyers know it's not oddball graphics that the dealer put on - it's official oddball graphics that Porsche put on
Also - why does this car not have a "Sport" or "Sport Plus" button in the center console... does it not have Sport Chrono? Not sure if I understand the build - it has the Sport Chrono clock but don't see it on the build sheet... Is this a 991.2 thing that I don't know about?
