PPF Chalk GTS
Just took delivery of .2 GTS in Chalk color. Debating on PPF wrap of front end as many reports of film changing color of white cars. Chalk is not white but close so if anyone has had experience with PPF on a Chalk car, your feedback would be much appreciated.

I'll bring this thread back on path. I spoke to my friend who is the service director at a Ferrari dealership. I typically do the front end of the car (bumper, about 1/3 - 1/2 of the hood) and he suggested I just do the bumper as the line on the hood on a white or near-white car would be too visible. He didn't think film would be a problem with the paint color.

Never do partial hood. Looks awful. Ask me how I know.
New films are no problems for any color, including white. Chalk will be fine.

FWIW the installer I use for film on my cars stated that the lines (edge) are more visible on white than other colors. That's not film dependent just the reality of the materials on white. I have my two cars side by side and you don't notice it on red but can see it on white but only if you're within a couple of feet from the car.
Neither are visible in this photo but I'll post it anyway.

Congrats on the chalk Targa, it’s gonna be a beauty! I have Suntek ppf on my entire fashion grey targa, wrapped around all the edges so no seams can be seen. Couldn’t be happier with the result and the protection. My detailer applied a ceramic coating and it beads like nobody’s business, plus it’ll never swirl

Just had PPF installed as well and the installer said do the whole front not half much better coverage and you’ll never see it’s there. Car is Rhodium Silver

I’m with Tom. Did a full PPF (Xpel) and even did the hardback seats and targa bar as well. Then nanocoated the entire sucker including the PCCBs and wheels. Strongly recommended.
