Thoughts on this 2017 S for sale
 

Hi All,

I would have posted this in the HFS sticky but it doesn't qualify for discussion as it's a .2 991. I'm the current owner of a 997.2 S and this car caught my attention due to the manual transmission and low miles (pretty close to new). Could anyone provide feedback or thoughts on pricing and options as I'm not as familiar with 991's? Over the past few months I've read quite a few positive reviews on the second generation cars and I may be getting an itch after owning my current 911 for over 4 years.

As I'm heading there tomorrow anyway to visit the parts department I thought it would be worth a look. Any feedback prior to that, positive or negative, would be appreciated.

Looks like a great build, price seems fair from what I have seen....but I'm not a .2 expert

If you want those options and colors, then I don't see anything glaringly wrong with the car or the price. But I would certainly configure a new one, exactly the way you want it, and compare.

Thanks guys - appreciate the quick replies. The two things I'm not crazy about are the non-sport seats and the color (currently have a black one and it's a pain in the ass to keep clean) but I thought it looked like more of a "performance" oriented build. Not worried about the PCCB's as they'll most likely outlast my ownership based on the miles I usually put on cars.

Any thoughts as to why it would be for sale with such low miles? Is it possible this was a demo or PCNA corporate car?

Seems decent if you like the color and options. You could always build the same car on the configurator to see what the original MSRP was.
MT, sport chrono package, sport exhaust, 20-inch wheels, Bose, 14-way seats, it is pretty decently equipped.
The newer turbo cars are much more responsive and the base car is a lot of fun.

Nice $30k haircut for a car that isn't even broken in yet! I don't know if i'll ever be able to justify one of these new, when a barely used CPO is a massive discount.

its never titled, so its a dealer car, and maybe one of the porsche demo from the experience centers. Who knows.
I would assume it has been demoed, pushed, experimented with, and would want to see an over rev report. But if you get full cpo and are willing to trade it in when the warranties expire, you couldnt get hurt too much
As you can see on CF it never started at a dealer, theres no dealer start or ever any dealer name on the title

With only 1,600 miles wasn't a Porsche Experience car. Those are usually 5-6K miles.

Was some sort of demo car or PCNA car in some capacity. I'd get details and over rev like mentioned.

Very well no drama involved. Just research. Has 1,600 miles. Not much at all.

Pretty sure Penske/Tyson's Corner dealer is one of the "zero negotiation" dealers with a take-it-or-leave-it price like Carmax.

If you ignore the 1700 miles on the car, your basically getting a moderately equipped S for the price of a new base. It is a great looking car with the black paint, platinum wheels and yellow seat belts. That is a lot of 911 for the money. On the downside, word has it the sport PASM rides stiffer than the standard PASM, no ventilated seats (great Porsche option) and no sunroof. I really like the glass sunroof on the 911. If non of those missing options bothers you, this car is a winner.
