Porsche again sets new records for deliveries

Worldwide, Porsche 911 deliveries are flat at approximately 32,000 (press release doesn't give an exact number).

Looks like overall deliveries were up 4 percent for the brand (246,000 deliveries!) with the Panamera up a whopping 83 percent (!). Boxster/Cayman were up 6 percent - I thought that was interesting because U.S. sales haven't been as strong this past year for the 718, if I recall correctly.

In comparison, deliveries in previous years for the 911:
2017 32,000 (approximate)
2016 32,365
2015 31,350
2014 30,510
2013 30,205
2012 25,457

China continues to be Porsche's largest market (no shocker there) with a 10 percent increase in deliveries.

China is going up because of tariffs around 3.0 engines and the only reason US went up is Macan sales. Would be interesting to see the breakdown in the US.

Excellent!!! Sad to see them go...nearly the last parts left of my old car. I still have the (broken) aluminum-look gas cap, though, as a reminder hahaha!

New GTS will hopefully arrive in early April!

Enjoy the wheels!

And of course the marked improvement of Panamera sales, not surprising...

Yes, they pretty much have become an SUV company.

The next comment: "Well, if that gives them $$$ for sports cars ...."

Core 911 (991.2 Carrera, S, GTS) sales are actually down, as a big chunk of the 2017 911 sales are the GT3.
