yeah, you just have to warm the tires up. I've done track days on slicks while the temps have been in the 20s and 30s. Once you do a few slower easy laps, they warm up and have grip.

It was 46 degrees when we stopped at the first gap at 11:00 am (you could smell the brakes pads). When we went down the mountain at ~3:00 pm, it was 61 degrees. No problem with temps. The best thing is that the two-wheel vehicles were not in the way.

It was 9/10ths

I enjoyed watching the cars work in the off-camber turns (and vice-versa). The 981 GT4's are real nice handling cars. They have great grip.

I have just noticed on my 991.1 that sport-mode opens a value in the oil cooler. The car would have oil temps at ~198 degrees after 10-15 minutes at 6,500 Rpm. I'd switch it off when going thru a town. and it would drop back up to ~212. I'd just had never noticed this before.

We should do this again in February so as to avoid the traffic. I'm in.

I forgot to make any pictures so I stole this from drive95:

The guy in the truck behind the cars was taking pictures and gave me a thumps up. The fist two are 2016 981 GT4's and then two 2014 Carrera 911's (both 1991.1).
