Default Targa GTS PTS- with pics

Back in March, I found an available Targa 4GTS slot in our system and sat down to try and really find a unique PTS option.

With all the fervor about color, the reality is that most buyers on these sports cars from Porsche tend to be most comfortable with White cars and lots of guys gravitate towards silver or black as secondary. Well, we are a new store in Fresno and I wanted to continue to showcase what is possible- inspired by my love of the historic 60's and 70's colors.

So after reading 100's of pages on RL and googling forever- I settled on a very special blue...Golf Blue.

Golf Blue is approved on the PTS list and unlike Mexico, Voodoo, Riviera, Gulf Blue, or Sapphire...it seemed like nobody ordered it. I know of only one other Golf colored car which was a Golf Blue RS here on the west coast.

In agony, i waited for months as my slot confirmed, then locked, and had dozens of cars get delivered before it.

Blue is one of my favorite colors- and I have put the following colors in my garage or showrooms previously:

Voodoo (GT4)
Riviera (991RS)
Sapphire (GT4)
Mexico (BAC mono)
Cobalt (997 GT3)
Aqua (997.2RS)
Monte Carlo (M5)
Cerulean Blue (570GT)

So yeah i love blue. My second car was a blue volvo as a kid so I guess this is just my life path.

I'd never seen a sample, never seen it in person. I was praying it would be good. Just some google images and that was it.

It is awesome! Being a targa gts and having a bit of freedom to spec it up, I decided to go a bit nuts and get the pccb and consequently went all out on yellow stitching (bypassing the alcantara)

I also cannot emphasize enough to you guys that rear axle steering is the absolute best handling option you can pay for on these cars.

Golf is somewhere close to 2011 Speedster Pure Blue, not as saturated as Club Blue or Voodoo, and not as pastel as Mexico...it's a very classy royal blue.

With black and yellow contrasts...it's gorgeous in the sunlight.

We have another PTS Targa 4GTS coming in that just finished production- Pastel Orange, and a C4S inbound in Gemini Blue Metallic. If anyone is interested in ordering PTS on a 991.2- we have a Turbo S coupe available and another Targa GTS slot later this spring. It does add to the production length but I'd love to work with some Rennlisters on designing their dream car!

Beautiful spec! I remember reading a story about a dealer that ordered a GULF blue gt3 for a customer a couple years ago and it was delivered as a GOLF blue to their surprise lol

Very interesting statement as I am debating whether to order this option on my upcoming 911T.
Thoughts?

It really makes the car feel 250 lbs lighter. They used it on the Turbo S and the GT3, now it's available in almost every car because it works. My R, and my GTS both have it and trust me you want it. Especially if you drive fast or if you like hairpins!

Gorgeous configuration !

CJ, in pics the Voo Doo and GOLF PTS blues look closest to my car's " Club Blau " PTS blue . Can you take a couple of pics in afternoon sun of the Golf blue and Club Blau blue ( and Voo Doo blue if avail ) side by side or better , nose to nose ? I believe the violet pigment in the Club Blau blue's formula gives it the more saturated look .

Totally agree, when I took my first turn in my GTS I immediately noticed it. It works really well, I will order it on every car from now on.

Blue is my favorite color, too, but generally leans towards the darker shades. That said, I looked up the Gemini Blue and wow, that's amazing blue! Wish I was looking, because the C4S (if not a Targa) is on my list!

Please post pics of it when it gets in!

Lovely build. Put a manual in it and I’ll take it!
