Beauty is in the eyes of the beer-holder (yes that's a pun) and all that, but I recently followed a car 100% identical to mine with the spoiler up, and frankly it looked like crap. Looks like someone left a service panel open accidentally, particularly on a white car. That's odd because the 964/993 looked pretty nice with the tail up, the 996 wasn't too bad. Something about my 991.1 makes it looks like an accidental omission when it's up... Granted I can't see it when driving but now it bugs me...
I like the idea of the 991 duck tail, but it looks really thick at the base, not as elegant as the original 2.7RS one... Overall I like it a lot but it's pretty expensive for that it is, and from some angles it looks like a *massive* chunk of plastic... That's still my fallback plan... Is there anything like a more discrete spoiler, maybe aftermarket ? Something ducky that removes the actuated spoiler but looks thinner, or lets you leave the existing spoiler in place but enough lip that deployment is no longer needed? Probably not, but just thought I'd ask... Starting to save for the duck just in case ;-)
It’s Club Blau, a custom color created by Porsche for the 60 GTS Club Coupes built to honor the 60th anniversary of Porsche Club of America. Supposedly, the color is exclusive to those 60 cars only. We’ll see.
