I have been thinking about a T, but take the turbos off the GTS and reprogram with GTS software. Maybe upgrade brakes.
The T with the sweet 7 speed, LWB etc.and GTS power .......... now that would be a great 991.2 GTS

There is something satisfying at building your own. My .2 GTS currently on board the Dalian Highway off the west coast of Panama. But getting a CPO car to your liking is also sweet. As other more neutral parties have said "Drive them both". They are all excellent cars with their own personalities. I have had a 997.2 C4S, 997.1 GT3, 991.1 GT3, 991.1 Turbo S CPO. Still have a GT4 for manual fun with a NA 3.8 C2S engine.
Make your own choice given your budget and how you intend to use the car.
Wife has her manual Boxster S 2005 with 60 K miles. Good luck.

my vote is for a clean breathing NA engine vs a turboed engine with a head cold.
in terms of electronics, i guess that matters. but i use Waze, my phone to access music, and have not changed a sound setting since day 1. not enough of a game changer for me. i certainly can't speak to lag but i would think that i would feel hypersensitive following this car, where it feels like my foot is connected to something tangibly "opening" in the engine. people say "it lags, but its just a little lag". that's lag. theres nothing for it. lag is lag.

Now on this topic, I'd go for 991.2 every time. The 991.1s are not slow but you really have to ring it out to feel the power. Fine on a race track but a little tiring on the street. The 991.2 base feels faster than a 991.1 S to me. I haven't (yet) driven a 991.2 GTS but it seems logical that this power difference will translate even more dramatically.

Just drive both and decide. There is no right or wrong answer. I prefer the 3.8, but if I had to buy a new car, I'd still buy a 911 - there isn't anything else on the market that I'd choose.

997.2 GTS, better steering feel, smaller size, a sports car not a Lexus
To be a bit constructive, I’d suggest leaning towards RWD. More hooligan for a weekend car. I’d also go with a manual. Slower but more involving.
If it appeals to you, the GT3 touring MT would be a great one to consider alongside it.
If instead you go for a GTS 4 and want the speed and control of AWD, you add PDK for whatever of the many advantages you like and all of the sudden you ought to be looking at 911 turbos. They can be a great value used.
Alternatively, the targa GTS is the top of that range.
