Three 991.2 targas for sale
Was in Pittsburgh getting service at the dealer. I was waiting so has some time to look around. They had a regular, an S and a GTS Targa for sale. I thought these model were hard to find. The targa really is beautiful and tempting.
On the upper floor, they were displaying two historic cars. A 907 (IIRC) race car and a green 356 speedster. The race car was previously owned by Seinfeld. Neither of these is for sale. The 356 is museum quality. Unfortunately I forgot my phone so no pictures this time (disappointing I know).
Being surrounded by this stuff makes the waiting so much easier!

This is something I have noticed lately,.....991.1 Targas were a bit hard to find, but available.
991.2 Targas are plentiful IMO, in fact sometimes in GTS form they have been more prevalent compared to coupes and cabs.
Beautiful cars for sure, but can't help but think Porsche went a little overboard with 991.2 targa production.

I'd love, love, love a Targa, but it's not in the cards right now. I'm hauling a kid, dogs & groceries, etc., around, so I've got a Macan. I do love the Macan & I'll be driving it for the foreseeable future, but I'll be looking at a Targa when it's time to replace it.

It is Auto Palace. I agree to get pictures next time. Always suggest a visit to my coworkers but they don’t seem to get it or perhaps they are afraid what they might buy one. Looking at the showroom beauties always boosts my spirits!

Porsche jumped the shark with the 991.x Targas. Too complicated a mechanism, too heavy, too expensive. Form should follow function, especially in a German car. With the new Targa, they decided upon the final appearance, and proceeded to develop the mechanism. The end result is kind of a Frankenstein, or automotive mutant, imo. Just my opinion. Looks cool, but sheesh, what an ordeal to make it happen!

Yeah they could have saved tons of weight by making the targa roof something you pop out and put in the trunk. Instead you have the heaviest most complicated 911 with the highest center of gravity. I’m surprised not every single one is for sale.
