Looks normal to me. Different car,day and dyno. MY INTENT IS TO SHOW THE DIP NOT TO COMPARE THE RESULTS.

Why is the dip puzzling? Thats due to variocam.

pretty severe. I am not a 911 dyno plot expert, but it's not similar to other vehicles I have seen, at leas not in magnitude.

I wasn't being severe - the obvious dip is common to all NA Porsche cars with Variocam/plus (~4500rpm).

Is variocam engagement software or hardware driven?

I had an S2000 and reducing the VTEC engagement point for high throttle openings gave the car a much healthier midrange.

I tend to think dynos don't really say much (way too many variables between dynos, conditions, etc.). If you want to get the truest power output of a car (or how fast it goes), look at its 1/4 mile trap speed + weight. You can even gauge the torque output by the dichotomy between trap speed and time.

R_Rated: Is your car an AWD? Of course that will result in more drivetrain loss. It's too bad you don't have a .2 because the mad tork would've probably broke the dyno meter.

Other things to note are that the RPMs were not syncing properly. The only thing this was good for are measuring before after mods. After dyno coming. Also, a mustang dyno reads low, being a AWD dyno compounds low reading.

this was my first run:
I’ve yet to see a #2 car hit 1k hp and 700 tq!

Having my car dynoed literally right now!

It’s a 4-wheel dyno, normally used for tuning GTRs, but it’s developed a problem in that the front rollers won’t spin fast enough to get the car up to max power. It’s being looked at now. Will keep you informed!

did they do into the PSM and put the car in dyno mode?

On a Dynojet without the AWD reading I wouldn’t be surprised if you’d see an extra 10% in power. Some guys say the difference is in fact 15% between the two.

we could have shown another 15% by showing with WCF...
