Little dents that mainly only you can notice.. do you repair or tolerate them?
I'm a Grade A automotive obsessive compulsive "scanner," as in I try to daily scan my exterior sides to make sure no sudden dings pop up.
Today one did.
When I got my car, I noticed a round dimple on the A Pillar (a notoriously hard place to repair), but the PDR glue method worked like a charm, and for $125 (seems to be the going rate from nearly everyone here) it was back to perfect. Took several minutes, easy peasy.
So today, I notice a new one, on the rear fender (on the inner upper part where it protrudes, obviously the part most susceptible to dings.... I don't know how you widebody people deal with extra girth), this one is much smaller, and really hard to notice unless you get it in just the right lighting (most lightings won't pick it up) and draw your eyes back and forth on it. But now that I know it's there, my eyes focus on it, and especially since I'm psychotically **** about where I park (seriously, I have no idea how it happened unless it's by a neighbors car which is a whole other issue), naturally it's grating me.
Got a quote by a reputable PDR guy for $100 (glue method) to fix it. Seems worth it to get it off my mind, but I'm wondering how many of you guys have these little "nobody will notice but me" dimples on your cars? And how do you cope? Do you just live with it, or find it worth spending the $100-$125 (or to those that get ripped off by dealers.... I've heard the going rate is more like $300)? It's really a psychological test above all.

I get them fixed immediately, assuming I have quick access to a known talented PDR guy. The mental relief for me is well worth the cost.

They can do some amazing things, and now with the "glue method" it's become easier than every to take out what used to be hard to get dings. Some materials and areas are still hard, but as long as you have factory paint (aftermarket paint apparently can be pulled off) it's amazing stuff. Very quick process.
Google "Paintless Dent Repair" in your area and I'm sure stuff will pop up. Avoid paying dealers double or triple cost that these guys will do it for you, as they just use independent PDR guys themselves. If anything, try and find out who your dealer uses and go to them directly.

If it is only noticeable to me - for instance, I have a small cleft in my rear bumper (no idea how it got there) - I leave it alone. If it is noticeable to anyone - say, a scratch on the door - I would fix it. Living in LA, I have come to accept that my car is going to get some bumps and bruises but I can only tolerate so much before pulling out my wallet.

If possible, I use PDR guys, as those little dents drive me nuts. However, I have a very small one right on the corner of the fender/wheel well, and PDR guys say it's very difficult to repair, so I've "learned" to live with it. It came with my otherwise perfect CPO.

Did he say the glue method wouldn’t even work?

I currently have 2 little dings and they do bug me but being somewhat a daily driver at 76K on the clock, I'm going to get them repaired once a year unless I get one that's really noticeable.
It is only a car.

Let's just put it this way... my PDR guy is in my contacts listed under my favorites
If I get one, I get it fixed same or next day. It will drive me absolutely nuts.
