I think it was a typo by djccxxx, meant 10k.

Mine is a 2017 991.2 C4S. I had a strut mount that wasn't properly assembled at the factory and it made chirping noises (fixed under warranty - and many thanks to dflowerz for the heads-up).

I drive it almost every day. It still drives like new, and burns zero oil. I am almost at 12 months and have over 13k miles already, well, except for the new-ish turbos in the X51 kit that were installed at just under 9k miles. Looking forward to putting summer tires back on in a couple months.

I have a bunch of extra options and that means more ways for things to go wrong (PDK, AWD, PSE, PDCC, FAL, RAS, etc.), but other than a couple rattles on bad roads, I've had no other issues. I think my sound symposer is broken, though. If so, I'm not going to have that fixed. Oh, wait - um...

12k miles on my 2017 C4. Replaced water pump at 9k and fixed a fuel leak at 10k.

+12K miles here. 991.2 Carrera S. Issues so far: fake low coolant/overheating warnings - fixed by porsche campaign (some problem with the coolant reservoir); software of lifting system - porsche campaign; gasoline sleeve - porsche campaign (but they broke an injector connection tongue and I had a gasoline leak in cold - took them a month and 3 trips to the dealer to find out, as the leak dissapeared when the engine was warm - spooky stuff); had one "pdk failure" warning once - it disappeared after restarting

They have now had the car 12 days. They also told me there is a TSB out on the wiring chafing, requiring a new wiring harness for the seat. I am now told there are no oil pans available and they are backordered. 2+ weeks for an oil change seems way excessive. Any thoughts on what I should be doing? The service manager is nice, but not responsive. Anyone see this TSB?
Name the dealer. Sounds like they have some nice warranty money lined up.

Did you read it?

Porsche of Naples is the servicing dealer. Yes they said the threads were stripped. The direct quote was “the threads fell out”

Seriously?? This crowd is really rough. I would guess he meant after the FIRST 1k miles. Nobody is changing their oil every 1k miles. Let's use a little common sense before pouncing on everybody.

Yes about all you got isn't it. Bet against somebody doing 1k oil changes at your peril, Jr.

tMy 991.2 engine makes lifter tapping noise when cold started after sitting for few days. It usually taps for 10 to 15 minutes until engine warms up. Do you think this is normal?

Forgive me for thread jacking, but was your seatbelt assembly issue related to a persistent metal squeaking sound (like a paperclip screeching against a thin flat spring)?

I think AWE makes snap on trims for this. Suncoast also has them

9000 km and no problems, in a Targs GTS driven all winter.

i have found that I drive the PDK in manual mode only, it’s faster and more fun as I always have the engine at the right spot on the torque curve. I think the auto programming is for fuel efficiency, not performance so anyone who feels lag is probably not in the right gear. The PDK shifts are awesome, quick and direct. I had an AMG CLS and that was awful in manual mode, almost glacial.

Just to clarify, djcxxx clearly means that he changed the oil after the car's first 1,000 miles, and then once a year thereafter.

Can you tell us more about this? Curious, as I have a knock/noise that's been hard to trace.
