Question Price Check 2017 C4S

Hello all.

Looking at a 2017 well optioned C4S with 3,800 miles and CPO..

Production of 10-27-16, sticker of $136,260, Jet Black, partial Agate,

Dealer is asking $124,991, 8% off sticker which is pure BS.

I'm thinking the care is worth around $115,000.

Please chime in with your thoughts on price.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

My local dealer had a 2017 C4S (brand new) for sale until recently. It was a $155k sticker and they had it advertised at $127k. Who knows what it actually sold for.

So, $125 for that build, with those miles, seems way off target. I'd be closer to $105k than $115k. Remember you could have bought it new with -6%. It's a used car now.

Prices vary a lot by region and inventory. You could try looking it up on Edmunds or KBB. The 4S is a desirable car in the NE. 8% seems a little low on a used car. I could have negiotated that on a new ordered car but to avoid haggling asked for 6% and got that discount.

They are probably trying to take advantage of the apparent relative paucity of new production inventory. Seems like there aren't a lot of cars in the pipeline right now. If true, that would probably raise the value of available quality CPO cars.

I just purchased a 2017 c2s with 4,000 miles and MSRP of $125,000 for $91,500. Is prestine and sold new on 8/2017.

I seem to remember in another post you claiming to have special connections into a dealership or something like that. I have to assume that the price you got here is not something close to what everyone should expect, especially for a CPO'ed car. This is closer to the trade-in price someone would get.

What's the rest of the story?

Oh.....and it wasn’t cpo’d.

You are correct that I have a high ranking friend at a Porsche dealership and I got a good deal on a used car he had in inventory. However, the car was priced at $98,900 before I approached the dealership about the car.....which in my opinion was an excellent starting price in any market. I believe my earlier comment was about the ability to get 11% off a new ordered car and not about my used car purchase.....but I could be wrong. I am sure a lot of guys on this site make some strong relationships over time as well and get treated better than the average guy who walks into the store for the first time, so I am not so sure my experience is all that different from others. Also, it was not a CPO car.

This one is the lowest priced 2017 C4S as compared to the sticker and mileage CPO in the country:
