Default License frame security screws

Hi

Any suggestions on where I can buy some? Preferably the screws with those unusual patterns needing a special screw driver? And the size needed for our license plates?

Thanks.

The Porsche license plates are attached to the bumper cap with plain sheet metal screws. I doubt you will find a a sheet metal screw with a security head. If your really worried about a theft of your plate then drill out the holes in the bumper cap and install a regular bolt with a self locking nut on the back side of the bumper cap. Any thief will turn the bolt, but it will just spin unless he has a wrench on the nut on the back side, (Very difficult to gain access.) and in fact I would guess that you could not install the plate bolts without removing the bumper cap.

Do you really want to park your Porsche in places where people will steal your license plate?

I'd rather they steal my plates, then cause damage trying to remove security/tamper proof screws.

Some of the security caps are made of aluminum. I had a set seize on an Audi and had to drill them out when I traded the car, not fun.

I need to find one of the caps that go over the screws, one of mine fell off.

I do not care about the plate as much as I do about the frame. It has been on my last 6 cars.

1) Go to www.mcmaster.com
2) Enter "Tamper-Resistant Torx Rounded Head Screws for Sheet Metal" in the search bar
3) #10 x 3/4" combined with stainless countersunk washer also available from Mcmaster-Carr.
PS - make sure that you have the correct driver or driver bit.
