I ran Pirelli Sottozero Serie II winter tires on my 997 TT. They performed well.

I used them last winter on my 991.2 C2 in Colorado. They worked extremely well, especially given that they are just as wide as the summer tires.

So I just took out the Alpins for a quick spin (literally) in about 5cm of snow.

Not the worst and not the best, manageable when going slow, some trouble from standstill on slight incline (PSM on).

Not even close to the Hakka's on the Bimmer.

Donuts in empty lot (PSM off) plenty of fun...

Thanks for the report - that makes sense. Seems like a fun tire for these cars in the snow

What size rear tire are you running?

For cold weather performance (dry) they can't be beat.

For snow/ice they are respectable but no Hakkas that's for sure.

If anyone in the Northern VA/DC/MD area is interested, I am selling my winter tire set, 20" Carrera S wheels with Michelin Alpin P4 tires.
