I promise not to ask again...
All...cross thread from GT3 board...tired of beating this dead issue but one last time. I have a decent (not great) offer on my PTS Targa4S loaded Burmester and a Decent (yet not great) offer on my 993TT excellent shape but not a museum piece. With the characteristics of these cars, what is a better 2 car Porsche Garage - a) GT3 touring & 993 tt {stick/ visceral & stick visceral air cooled} OR b) GT3 Touring & Targa 4s PTS loaded {stick visceral & quiet luxury). Seems to me the GT3 and 993TT almost give the same experience - just interested in your opinion(s). I promise not to ask again.

You have only one 993 variant......so keep the Turbo.
You only need one of the 991 variant.......so get the GT3.
I have zero clue how you plan to use the cars; track, weekends, Cars & Coffee, daily drive.....

No offense meant to any Targa owner, but a Targa 4S is just another 991. Yes, it may be nice, and may be equipped as you like it, but it's just another 991 (as are any other non-GT Targa). Therefore;
You won't have that raw GT3 experience.
You will suffer much more depreciation.
I can't imagine having two 991's in my life. But I like variety. I wouldn't want to daily one and have one for the weekend. Again, as was asked, how do you plan on using? What's your daily? Is this just two weekend cars?
I just can't see why you would want two 991's. Unless there is some other reason.

I'd go 993 turbo and .2 GT3 touring. Nothing against the Targa which is a wonderful car...but the other two are just so special: one of the best air cooled 991s and (likely) one of the last NA 911s. Glad I'm not in your shoes...would have a hard time picking the car I'd be buried in!

Nothing against the Targa, but I'd have the 993TT and the GT3 for sure.

I would keep the 993. Note my current avatar FWIW.
Only difference I see on the potential downside is both the 993 and GT3 are coupes. Assuming you bought the Targa for a more open air experience than a sunroof, you'll be losing that. But again, if I had a 993TT and a GT3, I would look to add some variant of a Boxster for the top down fun. I had a '13 981 S and a '16GTS - it's a really great platform.
Fun problem to have!

Of the many amazing things about a 993TT, and still a very relevant car today (with 408 HP), is the intimacy of the cabin. With the sunroof open, the windows down, the very narrow A pillars and narrow B pillars, and narrow window trim, it feels very much like an open air experience. Good point, Dog.
