Do you really think Herr Blume gives a damn? Vote with your wallet. Buy it or don't buy it.
I pity the fool who doesn't have enough free time to argue with strangers on the internet.

Most of us probably worked pretty hard and made some sacrifices to end up with valuable free time.

And some of us have enough knowledge to know that there are plenty of people on the forum with more knowledge than us, and we appreciate their input.

Well there are a lot of us on here with over a 1000 posts. I am not an expert in anything but you might learn something from us....or maybe just have a good time with friendly banter.

I retired 6 months ago at age 50. Now I own 2 modern Porsches and drive both daily. Don't we work so that we can live and not the other way around?

...and to keep the thread on topic, I visited my Porsche dealership today and they already have orders for the 911Ts. They are getting a lot of calls on it. My SA also said that the 911T has the GT3 suspension. I think he is wrong since I have not heard or read that yet? Anybody else have info on this or is the SA just wrong?

I bet they will sell a lot! To echo another poster from earlier, it sounds like the T is to the base as the GTS is to the S. Now they just gotta change badging to 911T on back instead of all those letters - suncoast to the rescue!

This is perfectly symbolic of the naming cockup which Porsche has made by introducing a 911 Touring as well as a 911 Touring Package within months of each other. Your dealer or salesperson is confused between the 911T and the Touring Package. The Touring package DOES have gt3 suspension because it is a gt3 without a spoiler. The 911T is just a base 911 with funky options allowed.

^Although, one does have to wonder if the RWS and associated suspension pieces are from the GT3..

991.2 TTS Height = 1297mm
991.2 S Height = 1295mm (PASM)
991.2 S Height = 1285 (S-PASM)
991.2 T Height = 1285mm (S-PASM)
991.2 GTS Height = 1284mm (S-PASM)
991.2 GT3 Height = 1271mm

Basically, as standard it looks like the T gets the Sport - PASM from the GTS, RAS is a trickle down from the GT cars (and offered as an option on .2 S and higher).

I think the RWS is the deal breaker on getting it alone. It's no simple/frugal system. Adds allot of value to the driving enthusiast type of Porsche owner.

I believe RAS started in the 928, and then blossomed into full maturity in the 918, before being mass marketed across all current models, i.e., Turbo/Turbo S, GT3, 911, Cayenne, Panamera, etc.

Deal breaker, or you mean deal maker?

A bit different, the 928 system was passive whereas the system found in the GT cars is hydraulic and active. But I see where you a re coming from. Obviously the T gets the active system

It's really that big of a deal? I'm starting to regret not getting it.

Deal maker (buy it) I mean. I had a 2010 M5 for a while, later now I have a 650ix with 4wsteering...the car is 4400 pounds fat but it handles way better than the M5 did.
I know that's a very small study on 'wheel steering' but I bet you the 911 T will be a better handler than the base car in a larger way than expected. I could as well be wrong too...
