Thanks — I feel that way 😁. Always great to get confirmation!
The aerokit sold me… I probably narrowed down 100 cars to 20, then hit the phones to find out the details. I feel like I struck gold. The car was super clean, and the Porsche Sales Consultant that sold it to me had previously spec’s it out with the prior owner.
Porsche Towson. Good group of guys over there. Super straightforward and easy sales process.

Hi everyone,
I have a 991.1 GTS with 30,000 km in Carmine red with PDK. Love it.
I really wanted to upgrade for more braking/handling/power and the thrill of something new. I priced out a new 992 GTS and am on the wait list but it’s about a $100k price delta once I factor in the taxes here. My dream was a GT3 but the 991.2 is now approaching $300k in Canada plus taxes.
So now I’m considering just upgrading my own GTS. Doing the PCCB conversion I’ve always wanted, getting Akra or Klein exhaust, doing an upgrade to more adjustable suspension, adding an aero kit, maybe that supercharger conversion. I’d like a very sporty backroads focused car with loads of power, grip, braking, and sharp steering.
I think I could do all of the above for less than my cost to upgrade the car and end up with something that’s truly mine.
Any sage advice? I love my car just want something a bit more dialed up.

I am thinking the same and hence why I almost paid 991.1 GT3 money for a 991.1 GTS Manual
My dream car was a GT3 Touring, but with .2 Touring at $240K and 992 GT3 Touring @ $300K+, that $125K-$175K delta is just stupid. None of those cars are 2 or 3 times the car I have.
I will eventually do a Deman's 4.0+ Stroker ($27K, Same or HP than .2 GT3) and a TPC suspension upgrade.
I can do all of that and still be under $150K and have a "forever 911"
Enjoy in good health

I guess we are all in the same boat
I can only speak for Akrapovic and DSC controller. Akrapovic has been a joy both in terms of sound and added mid range torque. DSC massively changed the in town feel regarding comfort and sport mode is finally usable.
In regards to the other mods,
For brakes,I wouldn't make the huge investment of pccb's when you could have an amazing AP Racing BBK setup for much less.
B16 Bilsteins give the ultimate midway between stock and track setup while keeping the edc function. Couple it with DSC controller and many people are super happy with it.
Engine, I love NA so my next step will be headers +tune. Should give around +30hp which is almost .1 GT3 territory and more than enough for me.
AP+B16+DSC+Soul Headers would make you pretty happy.

Question for you: I like Carmine and also Guards Red......IYO, and I know this is all subjective, what advice could you give to someone trying to decide between these two colors? thanks, Ed

Thank you. 😊 Yes, it is.
Guards is a classic red for sure but carmine is a deep, rich red. It’s very special. Here are some better pics that I think are quite true to carmine.

I’m curious, which suspension pieces are you considering for a future suspension upgrade? What would our cars need to be near or better than GT3 levels of handling and adjustability?

Sal, thanks for the extra photos, they are very helpful and show the true depth and beauty of Carmine Red. I am waiting for my GTS allocation to come through so been going back and forth on colors, but I love the look of the deep red with all black trim. The GTS Race-Tex interior will match it perfectly. Appreciate your response
