Your Top 5 Must Have Options

You are correct under most circumstances except in parking lots where cars park in parallel or at an angle. You can not see what is coming at you when backing up if parked next to another vehicle large enough to completely hide a pedestrian, motorcycle, or even a full vehicle. A large SUV can hide an entire mid-sized Sedan.

Hell, even if you don't grok that, LCA makes lane changes in congested situations easier, because it tells you earlier that you can't shift lanes yet. Haven't you ever done a repeated head swivel because you must change lanes to exit, and gaps are few and far between? LCA cuts down on that because it's easy to see the light's on without moving your head, so you don't have to start checking until it's clear.

My opinion today is:
1) PDK (I have two early 911 5-speed's)
2) PPS (seats)
3) PPP (premium package +)
4) Five lug wheels
5) 19" wheels
My Avoidance List:
1) Neither expensive sound system (high prices and no additional value)
2) Sport Exhaust System ($3000 on my current car)
3) ADM (additional dealer mark-up which was offered to me once)

Race Car
1. Powerkit (or GTS) (with SC and PSE)
2. PCCBs
3. Sport PASM w/PDCC
4. Rear Axle Steering
5. Burmester
Leather is always nice but the most important option, by far, is Power Steering Plus (PSP). Simply put, NO other option allows you to autocross with only your pinky finger. When parking your car or backing up at slow speeds, you will feel all the power and more at your fingertips. It is by far the most highly sought after option in CPO cars and adds big $$$ to resale value. You want a future classic? Make sure you check the PSP box. Your decendents, when they finally auction off your car at Pebble Beach, will be thanking you at your grave for doing so.

What I have in my car.
1) MT
2) 18-way power seats for comfort. Shoulder and thigh support.
3) Glass sunroof to prevent claustrophobia and for sunny days.
4) AWD. Where I live, NH, I want drive year around with snows and not care.
5) Sport Chrono package.
I also have full leather and other stuff, Bose, LDP, which I really like.

2. Getting colors I wanted
3. keyless entry
4. Getting the "S" model vs base on the 991.1
5. Upgraded seats
The only option I'm still on the fence about not getting was sport Chrono. The large clock on the dash really bothers me, but I sometimes wish I had the rev matching downshifts option.

Picking up my new-to-me .2 C2 later this week:
1) mt
2) Used to be S, but the 9A2 engine has made this requirement moot. SC slots into this position.
3) 19" wheels and no bigger. Roads here are garbage. Thank you Porsche for making 20s standard on the S and forcing me to go with a stripper
4) RWD. Had a 997.2 C4S and a 997.1 C2S. But I do appreciate the big butt.
5) Glass roof. Like the light.
