when I was shopping last year my list was:
CPO
PDK
Ventilated Seats
Bose or Burmester
I found one with all that plus two tone leather, Adaptive sport seats, Sport Exhaust, SPASM and more
Now my list would include full leather and the adaptive sport seats

4S
Cab
PDK
SC
Ventilating Seats
PSE (added later)

No regrets, but if I can have a second 911, it would be a Graphite Blue Targa 4GTS with 7MT, Red/Black Int, 18-ways.

We really wanted one with:
1. Front Axle Lift
2. Premium package plus with entry & drive
3. Adaptive Sport Seats
4. PDK - this one is a daily driver & we wanted PDK for that.
5. LCA

Our GTS also has a sunroof, which I really wanted. The Hubster couldn't care less & would have probably preferred the sunroof delete. We purchased new, but from dealer inventory, so while it isn't exactly what we wanted, it's pretty darn close. The build we kept configuring had full leather & this one has the alcantara package, but we're pretty happy with the alcantara now that we have it.

When I was first shopping/configuring my car:

1)7MT
2)Carrara White
3)Colored Gauges
4)CF interior including steering wheel and shift ****
5)Blacked out headlights

Now:

1)7mt
2)Gts related things (Power Kit, Sport Design Kit, Tinted Tails)
3)Colored Gauges
4)CF Interior Inc. Steering and shift ****

Honestly, the car is so good. There is more of a longer list of the things I could live without.. I Would have been 80% as satisfied with a Carrera White S with no options.

I thought about this carefully, and I thought about how great these cars are no matter how they are optioned. If I was buying used, or off-the-lot, I only came up with 4 (not 5) options that would make me walk away if they were missing:

LED headlights (so incredible)
LCA (a must for me as a daily driver in traffic)
18-way seats (might consider 4-ways, but not 14-ways)
Front-axle lift (for my particular driveway...)

1. 7MT (but that is not really an option)
2. SC
3. PSE
4. Full leather
5. Wide Body (C4 for me)

I don't regret anything. I spent 18 months on the configurator getting it right (for me), driving the new 911 down at PEC Atlanta etc.

RAS - game changer
PDK - itĺs the canine cojones
PDCC - love the ride/handling
LCA - only has to save me once over the life of the car to be worth it
Entry & drive - so used to that in other cars

Got much of what else I wanted with the GTS spec.

It should be pretty clear, by now, why Porsche offers so many options!

Yea I really wanted the sensors and cameras, but they are really hard to find in early 991.1s

1. S power min
2. Sports Chrono package with sports exhaust
3. PDK
4. Rear axle steering
5. SPASM (if you do not opt for PDCC)
6. Entry and drive

the rest can be argued. LCA not needed unless you have a targa. Visibility on a 911 bests many other cars. I live in California so heated / cooling seats are not necessary. LED vs xenon, personal preference and PDLS plus Xenon works perfectly fine. Porsche exclusives are there to personalize your car.
