2018 Rennsport Reunion VI: Roll Call!
#76
I'm looking forward to meeting many of you guys for the first time. Too bad we don't have a way to ID each other easily. I signed up to be in that '70 yrs of Porsche' display for PCNA figuring if they picked me it would be a nice place to park in the middle of the event. Got a nice letter that they wanted my car but it had to be there for all four days 8-5 which I can not do. Planning therefore to be in the 991 corral, but I guess you have to be there early or it gets full and they don't hold a spot? I'd love to know from people who have gone before how crowded it gets on that Hwy 68 and when is the best time to go.

Any advice to a first timer from veteran attendees would be greatly appreciated. I can only make it for one day (Fri) and any tips on must see or do items would be great. A side note is that my first ever 911 will be born on the 28th!! I won’t have it for another 2 months but glad to be celebrating its birthdate with Porsche enthusiasts.

Detailed schedule can be found here: http://www.weathertechraceway.com/si...dule__8.20.pdf
What I did not find is any info for a Porsche Motorsport conference (aka the Andreas Preuninger interview )

Based on prior events: 1) Take in the exhibits - and the people taking them in. Its a Porsche family, all friendly. 2) Walk around the pits. You will never find so many friendly drivers and crews in one place. 3) Pick the practice sessions with the cars that most excite you and view them from a few different corners. The treck up to the corkscrew is well worth it. 3) If you like souvenirs, get them early. The lines get long.

I have a four day pass and I'm parking in the preferred RED parking lot. Probably heading home Saturday evening as I have a track day scheduled for Monday. I'll be driving down Thursday morning from the Sacramento area with a couple of other Porsche owners. Anyone else heading down from Sac on Thursday? I have dinner reservations at Turn 12 for Thursday evening but no plans as of yet for Friday evening.

I’ve been invited to display my r-gruppe 72 911T Coupe with 3.1 RSR engine to be displayed on the paddock all four days. I’ll be with a group of 50 cars chosen from each category of r-gruppe Hot Rods & 356 Outlaws.
Stop by and say hello.

Sorry in advance if this is the wrong forum...
I did not think I would be back stateside for Rennsport Reunion but as luck would have it I will indeed be back in town
Problem is of course all the 991 corral passes are gone
If anyone has a pass for sale please let me know.
I am also looking for reserved campsite passes so if you have extra or will not be making the trip I'd love to take them off your hands.
